“I really believe I have two hearts… I think I actually carry two souls in my body, and that I’m living out the rest of her life [Stefani's Aunt who died of Lupus at 19] and her goodness — she died a virgin, she died never having experienced all these things that we all get to love and experience in our lives. I think that I work in her image. I work in this life as part pop singer and part humanitarian, and to do great things for people because she was a good person and I don’t think she had enough time to do enough good.”–Stefani Germanotta realizes mortality, in her Aunt’s memory, as a motivator to do good. That part is very sweet.
From a Maori cultural perspective, I am totally down with the fact that spiritual legacies can be taken on by a younger generation and put to use after someone passes on. Spiritual gifts are that. After people die they remain for others to further. So, I’m cool with the ‘weird aspects’ of this press from Gaga, without blinking an eyelid in doubt. Good for her! Maori people do that all the time, they just don’t go on and on about it, it’s just your work to do, like a private project of sorts. I get a bit miffed when I see her making it yet another one of her ‘personas’ fans are supposed to worship. It takes away from the good she does although her intentions are initially very good.
However, the way she hogs the limelight, needs a word. That’s not always spiritual the way Germanotta won’t share, or finds it difficult to share, compared to more secure diva’s in the game. People outside of America, want to see a sharing American celebrity – post the W.Bush years (of the political system of that time) anyway. It is perhaps a more noble look for America in regaining trust in the world by being strong but more sharing in outlook and worldview.
For example, first up – to offer some commentary on this, people with heart’s don’t rip off Madonna‘s music catalogue and present this as ‘new music’ (the Born This Way fiasco that’s fueled way too much commentary in between Mid East uprisings at the same time).
Secondly, if you want to be on Glee and be a karaoke-singer in front of cameras as a part of a TV drama we all like, just do a duet of a Madonna hit with Lea Michele. Don’t say you’re being ‘revolutionary’ with ‘new’ music – when you’re not. Next up, dropping the “twins” word without actually having any, does not put you in the league of Angelina Jolie who actually birthed twins. You can’t cheat like that. Do the work!
Just kidding. In celebrity land, it’s often about cheating the camera angles. Gaga is a marketing machine – a key part of pop music’s domination.
What do you think of Germaotta’s latest marketing ploys? I totally was into her last year. It was a joy to see her perform in concert in 2009. She wowed all at the concert and she was well rewarded for her authentic songwriting back then, making $70 million in a year.
This year, although 20% are Gaga fans on this blog, and you can stone me for suggesting this, I feel she needs to blend in more with the diverse pack of talented singers (her peers), artists, groups, bands, divas, opera singers, amazing folk singers out there –as there’s plenty of new talent coming through for global audiences to enjoy with less amounts of ego. The copious amounts of costume changes, a blogger has lost love to cover this year. She’s already broken through. Eggshell entrances at awards shows aside, she’s not being born this year. That was 2009. I was there watching her in concert. This year’s she’s not a baby needing as much hog love.
Here’s a ten year old, who was born this way to sing and entertain without the ego Lady Gaga seems to expect this year from her fans. In light of peoples issues around the globe, hers just aren’t as “may-jah” this year. We just live in times where in Facebook culture and twitter et al, it’s kinda about the collective all getting a turn to be seen and heard. The culture’s changed this year. These are just my thoughts anyway. From someone whose seen her in concert. Her ballads on keyboards, are Gaga at her best.
Anyway, the worthy 10 year-old (one of many young singers in the world’s) name is Teri Maree Kopa. She’s featured below singing Wilson Pickett‘s classic Motown song. Press play for a treat.

Sandra Winebarger, whose momma is from Guatemala and whose dad is from Puerto Rico. This All-American girl owns the Celebrity Actors Camp young actors training outreach.
She tells me, “Our camps are mainly run outside of California, Orlando, Spokane, Miami and Oklahoma. We do a six week camp out there, and then we invite them to pilot camp here in Hollywod, introduce them to agents to be represented here and go on auditions during TV pilot season. They’re learning and we teach them about the business. Most of our kids don’t even live here, they’re from out of State but with our help we guide them to find a right fit with the right agents and studios, that suit their talents and the opportunities on offer.”
Her spirit is insightful, encouraging and sweet. If you’re a young American wanting to walk inside the pages of Hollywood as an industry town, Sandra Wineberger is a fun guide.

“Everyone in Hollywood thinks they’re somebody. I was having sushi and this guy was living out of his shopping cart, while he was telling me he was the next big producer of Hollywood and bumming my cigarettes. I was like dude, “shut the heck up!,” Scot Hersman whose just moved from Washington State, Seattle to Hollywood.
Lol!
So far Scot, who left school as a teen and began a well paying welding job in Seattle, hates everything about Hollywood, which is exactly what he expected. So he’s off to a great start. Grounded in a good way!
Because Scot’s so funny and might have a go at the stand up comedy, set once he’s settled into L.A, I’ve recommended that he hooks up with coffee appointments with Lawrin who runs the LA Comedy Festival. Let’s see what happens over coffee.
I like Scot’s take on reality. Timely, funny, needed.
Welcome Scot! :)

Sadie & Lawrin are in on our top celebrity news from Hollywood at this minute. Sadie is a budding screenwriter and her momma is a coffee buddy of mine in L.A. Lawrin is the director of the http://www.LAComedyFest.com. She works with a lot of talented stand up comics and funny filmmakers too. She’s a multi-tasking working mom of America. Already as a kid growing up in California – Sadie’s telling her mom her latest movie idea. It involves a lot of blood – much to mom (Lawrin’s) horror. Lawrin can’t stand the sight of human blood onscreen. Sadie’s first TVC for a major ‘multi-national conglomerate corp’ drops next week. Stay tuned for that on your TV. LA kids, they’re full on talented!
Sadie is too cute. Celebrity entertainment news from the City of Angels today (is coming up, stay tuned):

Hip hop artist and actor Drake will join Susan Sarandon and Eva Green in the film, Arbitrage – a relevant film about corporate fraud.
What Hollywood star wants to not marry?
Kerre Woodham has fun ‘white girl bashing’ – the easiest Maori target – like popping open an Aussie beer with a black horse on it, on a stolen beach in summer! Loved the commentary though. Was funny for a lazy writer! Though I wish white men would do their own dirty work, don’t you Kerre? Woodham remains one of my most favorite castrating comedians in the game though. She’s always good for that for the white lads. Next generation of white girl Kiwi comics please! It’s time. Kerre would fare well dating a Fijian boyfriend about now, to look less racist in her shared habitat of Aotearoa-New Zealand, from Los Angeles. Just sayin!

The photograph Maddox, Pax and Zahara really wanted. Angelina Jolie meets Justin Bieber at The Golden Globes via Mickey K.
As Angelina acts as ‘celebrity salt’ for all stars to heat up their star profiles early in 2011, JB wears 3D glasses to hawk his documentary. Really though, what is a sixteen year-old doing at the Golden Globes? Shouldn’t this kid be in bed sleeping so he can grow?
Already this kid, when he wants a break, hospitalizes himself, his schedule is so hectic. Getting Angie-Jo celebrity pics aside at his management’s recommend, he did not need to be at the Globes.
Not only does it appear that Justin needs a new parent, but he also needs a new stylist. There are so many lesbians walking around with the Bieber-cut now that this photograph looks like Angelina Jolie towers over Ellen deGeneres or something! Perhaps this kid needs a new hair style.
When your sense of style becomes obsolete, you need to mix it up. Whose managing this young lad? Get a grip!

True fact: The Maori word for spirit is wairua. It means “two waters.” Water distribution is a spiritually humane act, because it takes anyone with spirit to ensure that people who need it, can have life each hour of the day. Our spirits need to act with goodness so water can happen for 1 billion people. Most of these people are in India and Africa. I wonder if China can help as water has so much significance as a metaphor for spirit in China. When I China is already helping share water.
Exciting News: For only $10 invested at Charity Water, one person in the world can have fresh clean drinking water, for a lifetime – when currently 1 billion people don’t have access to it yet. Isn’t that cool information?
It’s the end of the year in Hollywood. Normally I do the list of The 50 People Who Were Voted Most Hottest in Hollywood, as a really good compare and contrast democratic exercise in who is actually hot –vs, other media outlets lists. It can be quite surprisingly the results. On this website, votes are voted daily. The results always provide a study. For example Lady Gaga was no.1 last year, before she’d even appeared on Oprah’s Show.
This year though I thought instead of glorifying Hollywood’s Top 50 list, a priority first, was to link the list of stars, celebrities, hot Hollywood topics in this blogs category list with the topic of H2O. Sometimes we forget that the difference between a ‘star’ and an unknown third world person – is simply basics of humanity or human rights too, like clean drinking water being one–and equal access to it. So, before that list happens, let’s work the existing list already created of people and stars on this blog, who all can do something to help other peeps have life that flows daily with decent water.
Let’s do it as a Christmas gift to the world. Each star who gets any press going up online, have these news items emailed to them daily in the form of google alerts emails. So, in doing this exercise, this is my challenge as a Maori-Kiwi blogger to each one of US as I like US together as a global community connected to all people in the world, to give the gift of water this Christmas to someone else in celebration of life. Celebrity is about water. A celebrity is “anyone who deserves to be celebrated.” In giving water to someone else–we celebrate life, and we act like true celebrities of the world.
Merry Christmas and if you feel inclined, make a difference. is our water distribution agency today. It’s a trust that is action certified that Nicole Richie all year round. Richie also does work too for water distribution via UNICEF as well. I think that’s pretty gnarly good. Let’s do it and make a difference. Cheers and thanks for reading this blog all year round. May festive greetings flow to others too through US. Much love.
Until every person has clean drinking water –no one in the world has true power. Who are we fooling? There will never be peace in the world, if people are fighting over clean water each day. As a power balance exercise that makes us civilized nations look less fake in the eyes of the world, let’s have some fun and make it happen. :)

The Samoan-Kiwi hottie looks like her late grandmother, Aunty Maina Werne-Jones - a lady who died in Kenya while on safari, and who had the distinction of having the second most-attended funeral in New Zealand history in 1997 of a Kiwi not born in the green paradise nation. As a woman of Samoa with Mana in The South Pacific, Maina Werne-Jones was down to earth, heavenly-minded, loving and much loved.
Aunty Maina as she was affectionately known, is still sorely missed by Auckland City, Samoa and throughout The Pacific today. Her laugh was magic. She laughed a lot, always sharing her smile and joie de vie with a rare gift of joyful encouragement.
Kalani also looks like her gorgeous momma, Judi Jones. Kalani’s dad, Derek Jones can be found here with Judi, doing their bit providing Samoan-Kiwi flava and inspiration at a transitional time for Porirua City leadership in Wellywood – Hollywood’s sister-city for 3D film making expertise.
Porirua is currently in the middle of a surprise bi-election, as the US Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton has just recently touched down in Wellywood, a film making nation’s capitol city, at the time of writing from Hollywood. There’s a lot going on in New Zealand right now. It’s a hot diverse entertainment nation, destination.
At the top, of the North Island of New Zealand, Kalani lives in Auckland, The Supercity of this beautiful paradise-green nation.

: The analysis, “You’re ambitious, fashion-forward and a true (if sometimes tumultuous) romantic. You’d opt to work on your business plans over your party plans, even if friends say that’s boring. But hey, you always look good doing it–just like Kim!”
.
If you live in Hollywood and follow Herman-Town’s Young Hollywood promotions expertise, you will know that Ms Kim Kardashian is styling and dressing America’s style conscious twenty-somethings, right now, here in the USA. Nationwide in the USA, Kim is currently doing this online 24 hours a day, with a skillful style package that consults and customizes fashion accessories to each individual customer. Smart.
.
Kim Kardashian is perhaps the only A-Listed
reality TV Star in Hollywood, who is also a fashion merchandising mogul on the rise. If Kalani is like Kim Kardashian, I’m all for that. The world needs a Samoan-Kiwi
style-queen I reckon. Especially one of Spirit — like Kalani Jones possesses, naturally. Check out Kim’s online biz ventures with Hollywood entertainment power-lawyer
Robert Shapiro –at
Shoe Dazzle. Amazin! They’re taking over stylish retail for the young in America–via their online storefront window instead. It’s a Kardashian underground movement of taste and style blitzing the USA.
.
Kalani Jones is rugby royalty of New Zealand, Samoa and the Commonwealth Affiliated Nations and Oceania Nations of the World. She is the niece of a rugby player who England’s
Will Carling listed in the UK Telegraph as being the no.2 rugby footballer
in the world of all time. Kalani’s father Derek, is also a good rugby footballer too.
.
As a future rising star of New Zealand & The South Pacific – Kalani Jones has got it all going on in her star mix and this kid loves God too. Not a bad combo for grounded balance to balance out the craziness of fame that lies ahead of her, I reckon. Go kid! If ever there was a girl in New Zealand worthy of a reality TV series of her own, to weave in a stellar cast of characters who surround her in everyday life, Kalani Jones is one such star of great potential to lead, entertain, inspire her generation. Oh… btw:

Kalani goes to Wellywood (Porirua).

Have you checked out Hinetaapora Short yet. The ten year-old is showing fine early signs of being an emerging young Hollywood actor. She’s too cute.
Go here to see who Hinetaapora Short is, where she’s from and what she’s doing. Love this kid! She’s the hope of an emerging generation of talented young people in Aotearoa/ New Zealand–the nation of Hobbits, Maori and Polynesian kids that love to entertain.
She’s a Maori milky white Kiwi kid and we love her!!! Living in beautiful California, she makes me feel proud to be a 1/ 4,700,000th part of big hearted entertaining New Zealand. :)

“She has a young Reese Witherspoon look and fresh-faced appeal about her as a potential child-actor of the future in Hollywood”–Horiwood on Hinetaapora Short.
A Diverse View of Hollywood worthy new talent potential:
Should Hinetaaporo Short, 10, be cast as the next Milky Bar Kid!
One of this kid’s X-factors in the entertainment game already, is that Hinetaapora speaks Te Reo Rangatira – The Language of Chiefs - otherwise known as the Maori language of New Zealand) each day, at her Kura Kaupapa school in Roto-Vegas/ Rotorua, Hiobbit country.
Te Reo Rangatira is one of the two official languages that Middle Earth, New Zealand protects and speaks within its shores.
Should Hinetaapora be the Milky Bar Kid for chocolate makers Nestle? Heck yes! What a bilingual, intelligent and talented cutie pai. Adorable. The Milky Bar Kid is a New Zealand child’s ‘super hero’ figure of inspiring Adventure and fun adventuring activities with friends and community–the great Kiwi Way. Just like Hobbits represent such cultural heroes too. A Maori girl super hero? Heck yes! It’s time. What a splendid idea at updating Kiwi pop culture in the 2010′s.
Will Hinetaapora go on to appear in Hobbit in 3D films in Wellywood too and Hollywood? I hope so! She’s a doll.
Go honey! Mauri ‘Ola from Hollywood. Let’s hope Hinetaapora can sign on to the same Hollywood agent as Oscar nominee, Keisha Castle Hughes. My Hollywood agent recommend though for Hinetaapora’s Hollywood acting hopes, is agent: Steve Dontanville. –the agent behind Reese Witherspoon’s acting career in Reese’s initial early years until two years before Reese won her Oscar.
Imagine Hinetaapora Short in a 3D action adventure film? Could she be another Reese Witherspoon, with the potential to win an Oscar too? Only time will tell. But, go kotiro tutu! I love her chutzpah. This kid has spirit. She’s off to a good start at ten years-of-age.
[Presenter Scotty Morrison, executive news producer Tini Molyneux - Te Karere. Keisha Castle Hughes appears here with Inception star Ken Watanabe, image courtesy of Wire Image].
UPDATE: Hinetaapora Short is on the Nestle casting team’s Top Ten Short List at this minute. Go honey! You have Hollywood’s big tick approval. The gorgeous Hinetaapora short is a descendant of the Te Whanau a Hinetaaporo subtribe (Haapu) of Ngati Porou. She also descends from the Te Arawa iwi of Aotearoa/ New Zealand. The same tribe as famed and globally-loved entertainer, the late Sir Howard Morrison. The son of a Maori All Black rugby football star, Temuera Morrison , Sir Howard’s song My Old Man’s An All Black - combated and addressed apartheid in South Africa back in the day. He’s still a legend in hearts and minds today. Good Kiwi Ambassadors and proven entertainment stock are the performance artists of this tribe. They do the right things with their fame for noble humanitarian causes.
Hinetaapora’s Te Arawa tribe are watched by globe-trotting visitors to New Zealand, every day of the week in Rotorua City when they perform live daily as consummate and gifted entertainers. They star in musical theater showcases daily and have been practicing mau rakau (traditional Maori martial arts) for over a thousand years in New Zealand on Mokoia Island. As warriors in performance, they are New Zealand’s indigenous action stars. Very similar to Japanese samurai or Old-World warriors of the Chinese Empire dynasty too. Sir Howard, their much loved late Entertainer king, is pictured wearing his cowboy hat above.
Courage to imagine, see and be true to… yourself.
Message to H.S: Mihi atu ki a koe Hinetaapora… are you practicing your American accent and learning Chinese each morning for Hong Kong filmmaking, 3D action movie/ co-productions in future years, before school? Hope so! Ka rawe! Tino pai kē! Kid, you’re too much! :)

Prime Minister John Key (L) is no stranger at dealing with key leaders in key areas and markets of the world.
Quote of the Year: “It was commercial reality. We did the business.”–John Key on bending Hobbit Law, to Warner Brothers recognition, of Sir Peter Jackson and Sir Richard Taylor‘s skills and preference to film The Hobbit 3D film in New Zealand.
New Zealand’s number one man, John Key shines in Hollywood today, with the announcement that New Zealand will restructure law, and contribute monetarily to help facilitate Sir Peter Jackson directed, The Hobbit films 3D filming and production in Middle Earth. This sends a clear message to Bollywood, Hollywood, Europe and Asia, that New Zealand is 3D film production fit for the 2010′s and beyond. Middle Earth is also the home of James Cameron‘s Avatar‘s 3D effects, filming and creation.
Via New York Times, Mr Key says: “I’m delighted we have achieved this result. Making the two movies here will not only safeguard work for thousands of New Zealanders, but will also allow us to follow the success of the Lord of the Rings trilogy in once again promoting New Zealand on the world stage,” Mr. Key said. Video of speech can he found here.
“The industrial issues that have arisen in the past several weeks have highlighted a significant set of concerns for the way in which the international film industry operates here in New Zealand. We will be moving to ensure that New Zealand law in this area is settled to give film producers like Warner Brothers the confidence they need to produce their movies in New Zealand.
To structure the right deal to keep The Hobbit in New Zealand, new legislation is being introduced Thursday to clarify the difference between an employee and a contractor. The change in law would affect only the film industry.
Aotearoa/ New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Mr. Key said that the green paradise nation would offset $10 million of Warner’s marketing costs as the government agreed to a joint venture with the studio.
Mr Key also threw in an additional tax rebate for big budget films made in the country, making production companies now eligible for up to $7.5 million extra per picture–based on box office sales. New Zealand currently offers a 15 % rebate on money spent on major movies being produced within this paradise nation’s shores.
The UK Guardian reports that, had not Warner Bros and the New Zealand government come to an agreement, “Economists had said the loss of the production could cost the country’s film industry as much as $1.5bn and damage it in the long term.” Mr Keys also said via The Guardian, “”Making the movies here will not only safeguard work for thousands of New Zealanders.”" A much welcomed break for New Zealand’s economy struggling with one of the highest E.E.C debts, currently. The news was much welcomed.
Although it is not know if any Maori and Polynesian actors have been cast in the film in key roles to date, the Guardian reports: “The Office star Martin Freeman set to portray the title character, Bilbo Baggins – a homely Hobbit who in Tolkien’s tale is bamboozled into joining a thrilling adventure by a wizard named Gandalf. Richard Armitage, of BBC TV series Spooks, will play the role of Thorin Oakenshield, the leader of the dwarves.”
Good stuff. What a day for Hobbit lovers of Hobbitsville entertainment. And not a bad couple of days work either from Prime Minister Keys in his role of Minister of Tourism too. That deserves a beer or three in Hobbit fashion. Nice teamwork for the Prime Minister, Warner Bros, and our two Sirs who create Hobbits and a film industry working for and in tandem while reflecting back to Hollywood, from the other side of the world in New Zealand. Teamwork and mastery of a win-win relationship. Super heroes are being made in New Zealand in cinema texts and 3D cinema –for the world. Let’s go China and 3D action Chinese films in NZ.
This report gleaned from an original report penned byJohnathan Hutchinson, Michael Cieply and Colin Peacock. New Zealand also grew diplomatic relations in Seoul Korea today, appears on day one in Seoul where he has toured Gyeonbok Palace. Does Korea have any 3 D films they may need made and told in Middle Earth too, one might ask? NZ is a busy Asian-Friendly and Hollywood friendly filmmaking nation. And on that note, let's go Bollywood in NZ locations, coming at ya in 3D cinema. ]
