BILLIONAIRE’S SOCIAL ENGINEERING – BUFFET AND GATES DO SOME GOOD IN INDIA

Here’s an example of how social engineering creates a herd instinct, of good influencers, committed to making a difference for the good.

This story about Warren Buffet and Bill Gates rocking out to India recently to influence billionaires in India to join forces and give back to others in need shows how American leaders want to lead the pack of billionaires flow, in powerful ways.

Here’s highlights from the Just Means article on the topic.

“Both Bill Gates and Warren Buffet were in Delhi to urge Indian industrialists to join their . Buffett and Gates held breakfast and lunch meetings with the leader of Indian industry today. This included Adi Godrej of Godrej Industries and Max Group chairman Analjit Singh to discuss with them the scope of philanthropy.

“The Giving Pledge” is about investing in social development. So far, 59 wealthy US citizens have taken the pledge of bettering others. Getting some trickle down effect happening is the goal. India is growing at about 9% a year and has 55 billionaires with an average net worth of $4.5 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

“This makes the the third-largest pool of billionaires after the US and China. On the other hand, nearly 42% of Indians live on less than $1.50 a day, according to the World Bank. Gosh that sounds like an existence of slavery. Shocking. I wonder what the World Bank is doing for these people then? There is a lot of scope therefore, to fix this imbalance in wealth distribution.

Alright, Bill and Warren should move to India then, that’s over 420 million people right there, whose lives they could be devoted to, if they really wanted to fulfill the trust’s mission. Staggering stuff. Gates and Buffet inspire to do something about. To read about a man whose being doing this already for years in India, before Bill and Warren got the idea, go here.

Thanks to Akhila for the words. I wonder what the minimum wage laws, in India are. It’s heartening to see Bill and Warren visit in person (Melinda Gates too). We have so much to be thankful for in the USA.

WHAT’S GOING ON WITH JOSEPH MARAACHLI AND FREDDIE MAC BAIL OUT NEWS 2.24.11

Meet Joseph Maraachli. A friend in need.

Online here in the US, one of the top ten topics we’re viewing online in the US, is news that mortgage company, Freddie Mac, (FMCC.OB),wants a $500 million bail out from the US government. Ouch! That story can be read here. I don’t really think the US tax payer can afford that. It’s just the vibe, on the ground at this minute.

In the security bizzo/ military bizzo sector of business growth in the US - Boeing wins $35 billion contract to make Air Force tanker. It’s paying to make everyone scared and feel the need to develop military craft, like tankers.

Even the Pentagon Channel is devoting a live feed to this occasion of biz growth and development. It’s a feeling of progress to watch the government hard at work, on the peoples behalf. Honestly, ‘feeling secure’ is like Facebook addiction, to US here in America. I kid you not. You just have to have it. Watch the Pentagon Channel! Boeing gets the jump from the US military over European company EADS who lost the contract.

In Space aviation and exploration news Space Shuttle Discovery STS-133: Ready for Launch.

In computer apps sales news, Apple isn’t feeling the Mobile Me storage service. This product has just been yanked.

The black man wearing black and carrying a gun at the  caused a lockdown situation. Now lifted. Phewsh! He was not found. ‎

Giving Little Joseph Maraachli a Fighting Chance is also a big news story via Canada. “The 13 month old babe’s life hangs in the balances, with a Canadian court order to remove his life support breathing system. His family are appealing to a US hospital for their support. Reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo case, this story has stirred up a controversial debate as many people theorize what would they do if they were in this poor family’s shoes.” Poor little guy. He’s so cute!

Do you think little Joseph should be given every chance to survive? Or not? Couldn’t Justin Bieber step in and pay his medical bills? There’s a thought for Bieber’s record company to think about. It would be great press!

In Cooking Show news, Oprahs big discovery of realness and light in a Souther kitchen, the beautiful Paul Dean must think she’s a Maori or something, because she sucks her shrimp heads too, just like horis do down under in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The cooking shows in NZ are kinda amazing. Paula’s sort of got the humor right, for a NZ crowd of kaimoana (seafood) freaks. Watch her go at it. “It’s always about the butter!” with Paula, of course. Probably why her laugh is culinary golden.

JERMAINE JACKSON DOES AFRICAN CHILDREN CHILD SUPPORT PRESS VIA OUAGADOUGOU

This headline today brings a smile. Apparently according to this report Jermaine Jackson‘s baby momma Alejandra wants him to pay her $100,000 in outstanding child support. Jermaine had charitably travelled to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Africa where food processing and textiles are what this French-African City do. It is also the city of the Moro-Naba Palace of the Mossi Emporers era of 1441 and the National Museum of Music.

Monsters and Critics report, on this rather humorous press from The Jackson family entertainment empire today “Michael Jackson’s brother cannot get back into America due to the fact his passport has expired. Jermaine is stuck. And he reportedly owes so much in back child support, he cannot get a new one.”

Alright – to supper African Children this month – let’s check out World Vision. What they do in African is freeking amazing! A Sudan focus is what they’re about this month. It’s amazing how the Jackson family can easily generate a headline a day to do some good. There’s so many of them in one family. Peace! :)
