I don’t know why tabloids think that Sean Penn is a catch for Young Hollywood actresses? I know he’s a double Oscar winner, but really, young girls of Hollywood have so many options to choose from these days. They’re more about brokering new stars, (eg – Natalie Portman and Ben Millepied‘s big romance for example) than necessarily being crazy mad for the guys who have already leapt through Oscars winning hoops.
Anyway, the latest ‘romance rumor’ has already been squashed with Scarlett Johansson‘s rep who has issued a statement saying that Scarlett is not linked to Sean Penn romantically:
“Scarlett and Sean are not dating—they have been friends for years,” he insists. “Nothing more, nothing less. They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett’s upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam’s Global Ambassado,” the statement reads.
Love Haiti? is their message perhaps. Let’s go with that then from this story.

Although James Cameron surely must be in this list, Johnny Depp, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are who Hollywood thinks are the hottest stars this year. Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt fared well too.
Only one person of color made the list, thanks to Cameron’s casting and her dual turn in both Avatar & Star Trek. Our diversity radar totally went out the window this year. Oh well. My question is: how do we get a Maori-Kiwi on this list, aye?!

It’s always sad to see any couple split. Ryan Reynolds has filed for divorce. Reynolds lists the date of separation as being December 14th 2010 and Johansson agrees with the date.
No prenup exists and with Ryan being the big earner over two years they were married she will be more than taken care of, post their divorce. No third parties have been divulged at this stage of the divorce and separation.

I am so sad Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have split. When Ryan married Scarlett he was then able to leverage his star power to appear in film franchises as a leading lad. Perhaps the pressure has gone to his head a little? The expression “married to Hollywood” appears to be ringing true here.

Girls if you have a double S in your names, hold on to your marriage. After Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens announced a split yesterday, UsWeekly has released the statement from Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson that is:
“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
I’m blaming asset bubbles in the global economy for all of this stress right now on couples. Kidding. In Scarlett and Ryan’s case, one media makes their split’s biggest concern about assets the couple own asking the odd question, but Who gets the Whale?
Here’s LA Times on that: “The sad news Tuesday of Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds‘ divorce conjures a lot of questions, like who gets the New York apartment, the L.A. home, maybe custody of the favorite frozen-yogurt joint. But what about “The Whale”?
“A several-ton orca looms over the Reynolds-Johansson split, in the form of a documentary narrated by Reynolds and executive produced by both actors. The film follows Luna, a killer whale separated from his pack near British Columbia — not far from where Johansson and Reynolds wed in a secret ceremony in September 2008.
“We have no reason to believe that their passion and commitment to this project will waver as a result of any changes in their personal lives,” a producer for the film told the Ministry in an e-mail.
Reynolds, Johannson and other producers are in talks with distributors, aiming for a summer 2011 release.
The Whale is an updated version of Saving Luna, a documentary about the same whale that nabbed an audience award at the 2008 Santa Barbara Film Festival. An updated trailer featuring Reynolds’ voice hit the Internet in August.”

I don’t know about the Shirley Temple/ white girl’s afro look on Scar Jo though! Not kinda feeling that, although she’s flawlessly beautiful.
