There’s a rumor in Hollywood today that director Shane Black is being slated to direct Iron Man III.
Previously this year, Digital Trends reported that Shane Black had been hand picked by Warner Bros. to adapt the Death Note animae TV series to the big screen.
Death Note according to Digital Trends is a series about two brilliant people, two sides of the same warped coin, playing a supernatural game of cat and mouse. Originally produced as a manga, created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the series has gone on to massive success in Japan, spawning a trilogy of live-action movies as well as the 37-episode series (not to mention a licensing bonanza that rivals Star Wars).”
Gosh, Death Note sounds a little twisted. Perhaps Shane Black would do justice on Iron Man 3 then if the negotiating rounds go well for him here in Hollywood.
Black has worked with Iron Man III star Robert Downey Jr. before.
