BORN THIS WAY TO DRINK CLEAN WATER – WATER ROYALTY RIGHTS FOR ALL CHILDREN OF THE WORLD

Born this way – I believe that all children of the world were born to have access to clean drinking water whenever they need it.

BTW: At the moment 1 billion people don’t. 2 million children die through not having access to clean drinking water each year.

Born this way to drink clean water – is these kids and their parents’ dream day. We can make it a dream day everyday for them. Let’s make it happen fun people, by clicking on UNICEF’S TAP PROJECT link. Let’s FLOW! Thanks groovy people.

TIME HONORS MOTHER THERESA’S WRITTEN WORDS OF LOVE

Mother Teresa was as selfless as she was famous. In fact being selfless was her art of celebrity.

She probably wished she’d been six feet tall and looked like a supermodel, but she smartly got over herself, and this pint-sized lady made a marked difference in the world fronting for the world’s cameras when called upon and asked to for good causes.

Mother Teresa let nothing hide the light of love in her heart for the poor, destitute, sick, homeless, abandoned and forsaken.

Time Magazine pays tribute to and life’s work of love, in their special commemorative issue of India’s once much-loved leading lady.

She was a giant of a woman in spirit.

Read her handwritten words in this pic, if you need a slice of cake, for your spirit’s nourishment. A reminder to live a life perhaps of love, worthy of keeping a daily diary for. Cheers!

THE HORIWOOD TOP TEN – THU 7.15.2010

Vintage Mother Teresa footage has me fascinated today, and I’m not Catholic, I just love the light she left us as a gift. When you lose someone sweet in this world, you’re at a loss, because your whole being is still wired to be around their sweetness, because true sweetness in a person, is addictive and you never want to be without it. The memory of such a person, is like golden healing honey to your senses and your spirit. To replicate this for others, would  be a noble thing to do.

Here’s how you voted our top ten entertainment, celebrity and newsy items of interest today, here on Horiwood.Com. Thanks everyone.

1. Whisky bravo tattoo by Angelina Jolie for Brad Pitt

2. Aunt Elvira‘s Top Ten at Graduation 2010

3. Levi Johnston Playgirl cover parody

4. Oksana and Mel

5. Tea Party signs are offensive to holocaust survivors

6. Voice of Hope by Fairuz

7. Brilliant dialogue: The Hang Over Quotes

8. Lauren Conrad on Authorialship

9. Robert Pattinson inspires by Twilight

10. You’re gonna rise up singing by  Leona Lewis :)

And, as much as a day allows, let’s always continue to be loving and rise up, with fresh courage, renewed every day, to dare to consider others and to love.

RECOVERY IS THE ART OF AMERICAN REDEMPTION

~The way of the wise is to make whoopi Peace~

~Today’s hero is anyone who is actively recovering from a lite affliction or oppression and who has the audacity/ courage to be transparent and honest about it. Hot.~

[Image courtesy of Soccer Live]

For Eminem and Nelson Mandela from ‘Mother Theresa’s bedside 2010Recovery is to make peace with your demons, by calling them what they are without fear of judgement–in order to rebuild lives and better systems that serve more noble purposes for all people into the world–Horiwood, June 2010.

A fairy tale of Peace from World Politics and Hip Hop Music’s King: Once upon a time, one man was locked in a jail because he possessed courage of spirit and his conscience led him to fight death systems that had been created in his own country. Namely, apartheid.

Although this man was deemed an insubordinate criminal with criminal intentions by the finest judges in the land, (he perhaps just couldn’t pretend to be sub enough), he had diamonds on the soles of his shoes as a noble freedom fighter against oppression of his people’s better futures.

When the bullying sickness of greed in his country, had passed–blindness fell off the eyes of his countrymen.

They realized that their nation’s recovery and healing from this glaringly obvious sickness, was to release this man from jail–because in his soul that had endured suffering within an unfair justice system, were all the keys to free his country from a psychological hell guised as an artificial oasis–they had once created to gain an advantage for select few people–while marginalizing a majority.

This man is a man of Peace. His life story mirrors that of Joseph whose life was once cast in ancient Egypt. His name is Nelson Mandela. His life is a witness, that recovery rhetoric–is always a Peace rhetoric and that making Peace is the art of recovery for the world.

Music by Africa Black Mambatu and the dazzling poetic words of Paul Simon today. Commentary on the art of recovery follows:

POETIX: PAPER GANGSTA SUPERMARKET AISLES -3.10.2010

Today my Maori gaze met with a mother’s eyes

stealing discretely to feed her child

in West Hollywood’s ”me, myself, I

cruisy supermarket aisles

And as Lenord Cohen’s Hallelujah

played softly in the background

I wondered which paper gangsta

had murdered this ’Lil Mama’s

ray of light

in her once strong

American dream.

POETRY: CALCUTTA by HEMI (JAMES K) BAXTER

On pavements, before dawn, small fires
Lighted in iron buckets,
Where carpenter and watchman slowly warm
With charcoal and wood shavings
Brown corded holy hands,
As if from veins of blood and gold
The city’s life and exhalation.

Tears have flowed, how many tears
Lost and sprinkled on the iron floors,
Poverty crucified on destitution.
The noseless whore once married
To a green, beheaded coconut,
Tethered by ankle-rings of hammered silver,
A kind of human coat or flask;
The sweeper boy divided from his soul
All night in forests of blue bhang;
This voiceless, eyeless, aimless pain
Stained with betel juice and loops of dung,
Mouth and eyelid, black with flies,
Expects the mercy of the Deposition.

I am the cup that holds your pain,
JANUA COELI, star of truth;
I am the ark, the stronghold of the King;
I am the void where Light is born.

HOT STAMP OF ETERNAL LOVE: MOTHER THERESA 2010

American mail just got more prayerful and mindful of the world this year, as Mother Theresa‘s face gets set to grace American letters and parcels for the US Postal Service.

Here’s one of my favorite quotes from the Lady who once loved and led the world from the slums of Calcutta. That’s true power.

“Good works are links that form a chain of love.”

That’s why I blog.
