GAS IS AT US$5 A GALLON IN HOLLYWOOD!

“When gas is at $5 a gallon and the minimum wage is at $5 too, this current government has done nothing but further Bush policies. It’s not what we voted for. Democracy has been made a farce of. I’m not enchanted by this government so far.”–Jaden, 49 Financial Management Executive, California.

Well… at least that’s an honest view. This is Hollywood today.

GEORGE W. BUSH CANCELS TRIP TO SWITZERLAND TO TALK ABOUT FREEDOM

Former president, George W. Bush, authorized the water boarding of detainees in his Presidency. This means that in Europe the former president could be arrested under human rights concerns.

Who would have thought? George W. had to call off his trip to Switzerland.

SATURDAY HOLLYWOOD BLOGGING – AS YOU SHARED IT – 2.12.11 @ 9PM

Ashton Kutcher tells BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills that at the Super Bowl, George W. Bush snubbed him. I think what Ashton meant was that George W. doesn’t know how to tweet regularly yet. Anyway…

I just ate half an acre of salad greens at The Soup Plantation in West Hollywood. One of those all you can eat dining situations… if you live outside of the US, that’s what happens at the S.P. Gosh, after nibbling on all of that, I felt like a Chinese bunny rabbit.

For all of two seconds… before the inner Maori got the better of me, and I decided to commit ‘skinny Hollywood person’s suicide’ and smother maple whipped butter onto five freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were still hot from the oven. Truly, I just did. Now I’m in a delicious butter coma like I thought I was from Chicago or Canada or something and needed all of that in one hit! Ridiculous!

Mean while on The Huffington Post, Kelly Brooke is doing way too much. Kelly is pictured below. [Dinner was fun. Thanks J].

Here’s ten celebrity news posts we’re bumping as pop culture on twitter, Facebook, emails from Hollywood right now.

1. Jon Voight and James Haven for Angelina Jolie

2. Born to be Somebody - Dianne Warren writes for Justin Bieber

3. Aussie angel Miranda Kerr for Victoria Secret in NYC

4. Aaron Carter tweets a zero percent body fat body

5. Kelly Clarkson is cute in Hong Kong

6. Some Rahm Emanuel

7. Tayor Lautner as Jacob Black

8.  Stars and Google Yoga – Jake Gyllenhaal & Jennifer Aniston

9. Boxer Megan Gangitano has quite a fan club in West Hollywood

10. Cheryl Cole covers February Elle, UK

JAY-Z IS PERFORMING WITH COLDPLAY IN VEGAS NYE

Jay-Z is turning out a NYE show with the amazing Coldplay this year at The Cosmopolitan.

Sounds brills. My money is still firmly on Jigga’s protege artist as being the hot ticket - Riri at Pure in Vegas for NYE this year.

A tough one! Okay, Vegas is it for USA NYE.

[Humor. In this pic: "Jay-Z agrees that former President George W. Bush is a racist." Lol!]

RANDOM HOUSE ANNOUNCES THAT DECISION POINTS, GEORGE W. BUSH’S MEMOIRS BOOK HAS SOLD 1.1 MILLION COPIES

There are no perfect people, or perfect leaders. We all learn through living, through loss, through experience.

I’ve always maintained that after the George W. Bush presidency, that no one really understood (including George for much of that), in terms of its effect on the economy– everyone in America should really be given a copy of this book where George W. reflects on what he could have done better. That’s if they wanted it, as a debrief –to his politics.

However, here in America, one’s therapy, you have to pay for. It is a capitalist nation after all. Today there’s some good news for George W. Bush ‘author.’

George W. Bush‘s memoirs book, Decision Points has sold more than 1.1 million copies. It was released Nov. 9 and 135,000 copies were sold as e-books.

Bill Clinton‘s My Life and two President Obama books, The Audacity of Hope and Dreams from My Father, have also sold at least a million copies.

Because many people are grieving right now the loss of so many things and I’m from a nation that’s in national mourning right now over 29 lost coal miners lives in New Zealand, here’s also Patrick Swayze and Lisa Niemi‘s compelling and inspiring book The Time of My Life–that deals with grief and the grief process to offer hope along with George W’s book.

KANYE WEST FILLS IN FOR OBAMA WITH A GEORGE BUSH COMMENT – TODAY SHOW

Kanye West gives an interview about George W. Bush to talk show host Matt Lauer while President Obama is offshore, on The Today Show.

George mentioned Kanye in his new book. It’s kinda a unifying book narrative link into the current presidency, so a smart move from a past Texan president in re-entering the global political arena via a memoirs book, I reckon. But I’m not American, so let’s let the American people speak on that themselves. I must say, George’s plastic surgery touch ups look all good though. Amazing what time on your hands can engender. Love it!

My whole thing with George’s opener with Matt Lauer in this interview is simply this: how can Kanye a black man, be the racist? Okay, whatevz! Too funny how America switches it up, when needs be. Makes me laugh.

Alright the hori in me, makes me say: Is this the same George W. that helped accelerate a George W. financial melt down, that Presient Obama’s face is now wearing? Same thing, different face… Yes, I do believe it is. So for George to call a singer/ songwriter Kanye a “racist” is kinda dumb with a political? segue back in to US cultural life. Kanye’s a pop star George. That’s all he’s ever claimed to be. Nice work though.

Any thoughts on this? Leave a comment if you care for American entertainment and are a Kanye fan.

KANYE WEST & GEORGE W. BUSH ARE TWINS. LOL!

Says Kanye: “I am like the rap version of George Bush. I became George Bush. The irony, poetic justice of that was just so amazing. Just for the caller to say “I lost respect for you” is just how a black person would completely say the same thing about George Bush.”

This year, Mr West is the designated center – of making other stars hot. Touch stone of celebrity for 2010. Mention Kanye’s name–and you’re off. He’s it. Was Beyonce last year. A guy this year. Read the rest of this entry »

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS – A PRESIDENT UNDER FIRE – 11.2.10

President Obama‘s “Audacity of Hope” rhetoric comes under fire with New York’s Metro paper redefining it as “Audacity of Nope.”

And the New York Daily news gets in on the act too.

Meanwhile George W. Bush is releasing his new book this month and stands to make a bomb! Go figure. Poor President Obama. Sucks to be King right now. Like, give this dude a chance. Worst deficit in US history, this man inherited. Come on New York!

MARILYN MONROE’S FRAGMENTS IS GOING TO GIVE GEORGE W. BUSH’S MEMOIRS BOOK SOME COMPETITION

According to Shelf Life, Farrar, Straus and Giroux has announced that they plan to release a collection of Marilyn Monroe’s own writings. Fragments will include poems, correspondence, rare photos, as well as reproductions of documents handwritten by the blond bombshell herself. The book is available this fall as George W. Bush’s memoirs book, Decision Points drops  on Novemeber 9th.

Because let’s face it, the whole President and Marilyn Monroe rhetoric being spun simultaneously is just so American in any given decade. And I have to say, both books are looking very worthy to buy. Although, Marilyn’s book appears to be relying on the magic of a talented ghost writer, even more so than George W’s book did. Nice to see beaut American books being produced. Hot!

And the George W.Bush memoirs book–is going to be the book of the year. Can’t wait.

LINDSAY LOHAN DROPS BY MILLIONS OF MILKSHAKES IN WEST HOLLYWOOD

I can’t believe I missed Lindsay Lohan drop by West Hollywood at Millions of Milkshakes. Lindsay Lohan is someone I have a big heart for. Because everyone may bash her but if you live in Hollywood like I do, she’s a product of this city, more so than she’s a brat. She’s very tough.

I see Lindsay Lohan in the same light I view President George W. Bush. Both are Americans who have had highs and lows. Both are national treasures of American culture (Lohan is ranked #12 most popular celebrity female in America over 2009 on googles rankings).

DECISION POINTS, GEORGE W. BUSH MEMOIR IS BEING PUBLISHED BY CROWN PUBLISHING GROUP

~Grace only comes from realizing that our mistakes and imperfections are the jewels of truth in our human crowns we wear when we take oathes of the heart to lead, by living lives laid down in service to others. May we never be afraid to make even our mistakes, an open book~

This should be a riveting read, and I’m being serious for once. President George W. Bush has penned a memoir called, Decision Points.

Crown Publishing Group are printing it and they say the book will focus on 14 main decision points George W. Bush was faced with during his presidency of 8 years including: ”flaws and mistakes” as well as “achievements.” Between these two polar opposites and where they intersect, is George W. Bush’s cross of truth that he wears and is sharing in this book. Awesome stuff, if the book has been done right.

HELPING NEIGHBORS IN NEED: LEONARDO DICAPRIO DONATES $1 MILLION TO CLINTON BUSH HAITI FUND

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio donated $1 million to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

Former President George W. Bush released this statement: ”I salute Leonardo DiCaprio for his extraordinary generosity. This donation sends a clear message to the people of Haiti that America’s commitment to helping rebuild their country is strong. I thank Leo for setting a wonderful example for all Americans of helping a neighbor in need.”

Two things: a) America loves her neighbors. b) Leonardo DiCaprio strategically donated to the charity representing two US Presidents–one a Republican President and one a Democrat President in a unifying display of patriotism to help others.

A good message from DiCaprio today to send out to the world as America unites to give heart and soul for Haiti in the Hope for Haiti Telethon event that is being broadcast live from both America and the United Kingdom to an expected audience of 64o million people on the planet.

Let’s go America!
