Wolf taming and vampire taming, have their ups and down for Kristen Stewart, whose life dramatically changed when she was cast as Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga.
Since then, Kristen lives most of her life with security guards required to go anywhere. She spends life in hotel rooms between movie sets and film promotional gigs.
I always like her worldview, on life lived under intense scrutiny. Being over-scrutinized means that everyone projects their insecurities onto you. That makes you insecure and how you then mediate everyone else’s insecurities, at the center, is the test of your strength and sense of fairness. Or unfair, if you don’t.
Realizing that the insecurities aren’t yours in the first place, is half the battle won. To then mediate your responses fairly is always humility in action. What people look for is wisdom on a matter. Fairness/ humor is always wisdom. And we all have insecurities needing reassurance, or, to be slain with a kind word. Constantly surrounded by execs and power players, Kristen Stewart does this well. It goes with the territory of being a star.
Here’s her latest, typically fiery gems, in an interview for the reluctant poster girl of 21st century teen and twenty-something angst. Read the rest of this entry »

Robert Pattinson trucks his star factor into the Jack Kerouac themed film, On The Road, as he drops by on set to visit Kristen Stewart.
Kerouac forever. What a poet and a fearless artist. Young Hollywood paying their respects to great literary American artists, is the new trend, to garner some much needed cultural depth, across the U.S. I like this trend, a lot.

Fans of Kristen Stewart camped out for five days, to see her, in L.A. Nuts. Here’s what Twilight Eclipse‘s leading onscreen lady had to say about that:
“It’s cool for me, because I’ve never had this [amount of fan support] on any of my movies, and I feel like I’m one of them,” she said. “I feel like we share the exact same passion for this thing. It feels weird to be at the head of it, but it’s cool, I’ll roll with it.”
Good answer. Winning a casting lottery, can never be explained. Just accept the gift, and roll.

In his final stages of life, Dennis Hopper not only battled cancer, but he also battled a wife who sought to take his fortune off his children and descendants, and yet through it all, Mr Hopper chose to look beyond all that. He was a great man. How he managed to think of Young Hollywood at all during such a battle is remarkable, but Dennis Hopper did. He was that kind of man. He chose an unlikely successor to carry on his Hollywood message. In celebrating Mr Hopper’s life, here’s a look at who he is. What a man!
I met Dennis Hopper, just once. It was at Curtis Harrington’s [Hollywood film director] wake. Curtis had cast Dennis in Hopper’s first feature film role ever. Dennis starred as a sailor, a marine, who fell in love with a fated mermaid. They showed clips at the wake in black and white, before Dennis took the stage.
He was gracious.

The fashion lines of Kristen Stewart styling from her latest editorial photo shoot for Vogue Mag say she’s gone Gaga. Or does it?
[Subtext: "Hi fame monsters, are you ready for Twilight Eclipse at the movies?" K-Stew is so clever! She keeps the celebrity ball well positioned in California. Love her]
Stewart says with her pose… “Message from me and Angelina: I’m Hollywood‘s Wonder Woman.” Lol! As she closes the game tighter on Beyonce‘s and Stefani Germanotta‘s ambitions for an Oscar as well as holding Grammys.
You learn so much from watching Hollywood celebrity sports. It’s a tough game. I like the way democracy in America means that celebrity peers challenge each other with pop symbols rivalray like this–to keep each other sharp and raise the bar. Really… they are each others best friends… because fame makes you (automatically) a freak cast in a freak show, whether you like it or not.
Kristen (and the girls mentioned) are doing great stuff for America. Noted.

The rise of Kristen Stewart is imminant here in American fashion magazines. This is what happens –when a great novelist gives Hollywood kids a leg up, through adapting a novel series into a series of screenplays–and then being a starmaker offering a Young Hollywood casting lottery –of a lifetime.
Kristen Stewart deserves every bit of fame coming her way. She’s a smart and globally conscious Californian leader of the pack whose Californian proud. Go girl!

In Hollywood, the #1 most wanted celebrity wedding is that of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. After that, it is the marriage of Twilight Saga stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
OK! Magazine get a little bit outrageous, suggesting the notion that Rob had proposed to Kristen this week, to sell their magazines.
With three more Twilight films still to hit the box office–Robbo and Kristen will be flirting with their audience appeal for a long time, before tying the knot.
And besides, it will have to be a marriage at “twilight” in New Orleans, to be Vampire hot and even credible.
Anyway–the point of my post is that US Media make so much money, telling BS. It should be a crime. Just kidding –I’m just jealous tabloids get away with it, every week as a licence to print money at supermarket checkouts. Lol!

~Brad Pitt Architecture: New Orleans to become the Vampire Capitol of America~
True Fact: The word “vampire” was the 5th most popular word worldwide on search engines last year. This year… the vampire phenomenon is just getting started really.
This story is really about what happens when Hollywood’s cool kids get snubbed at Hollywood Award Shows (True Blood at the Emmys and Brad Pitt for all his films, Tom Cruise too). They just move their cool and hip to another City. No really, but sorta.
New Orleans is introducing tax breaks for film companies, that rival what Canada can offer. So much so that Summit Entertainment are considering moving the Twilight Saga filming for Breaking Dawn to Louisana.
That means that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will join Anna Paquin, Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock as Oscar winners who work or live in Louisianna for a part of each year.
Reports Nola: ‘New Orleans hosted the big-screen version of Anne Rice’s novel “Interview With the Vampire” starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Kristen Dunst. Pitt is currently producing a vampire movie for Summit. And Alan Ball‘s True Blood hit HBO series starring Oscar winner Anna Paquin is also shot in Louisiana.
Sounds like the vampire capitol of America right? A tourist destination concerning all things vamp. Oh no… Hollywood still holds that title–but it’s nice to see the “vampire” hip set of Hollywood creating a new economy in New Orleans–with Brad Pitt being the linking lynch pin, in this biz architecture–encouraging vampires (vamp entertainment peeps) to Unite for New Orleans..
And who would have ever have thought–that a vampire would be an icon of a model citizen of America for the 2010′s. The anti hero–super hero… not pretending to be perfect or good… but it is! No one forgot how New Orleans was forsaken during Hurricane Katrina by Washington. That was the first sign, things were wrong in America, and we’d begun the vampire economy years of deficit–yet none of us really paid much attention back then.
So it’s nice to see New Orleans, shaping up to own the Vampire State City crown of America. That seems fair. Nice one Brad Pitt! And let’s not forget where the center of Sporting Victory on the football field currently sits right now in the U.S either? :)
Let’s go New Orleans!

“Fame is like a tiger. As the ringmaster, you have to grab it by the tail and put it in your circus”–Unknown
Here’s Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart on how she manages the paparazzi within the fame game.
After Robert Pattinson said: ”I don’t know if this is the actual reason why, but we have gotten better at hiding over the last year,”
Says Young Hollywood’s leading actress of the 2010′s: “That’s totally the reason,” Stewart concurs. “They just make up a story to go along with the pictures. If they never get the picture, there’s no story. We are just good hiders now.”
How these kids do it, is quite amazing really. The pressure to look good from every angle at all times–with fake headlines, captions and storylines running over your pics and tabloids profiting from it all–must take its toll.
[Stuart is such a Hollywood icon, that Elle Magazine takes pictures of her, and then blows them up, to photograph the picture--mise en scene en scene in action. Or according to French theorist Jacques Derrida... she is a "desconstruction of a deconstructed simulacrum." When a star (regardless of age) can play with their image this well... Angelina Jolie has trained this tigeress cub very well. Subtext--Kristen Stewart is Hollywood pop cultural art].

Kirsten Dunst is the Hollywood actress who came to fame, playing a vampire child with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Then her next big box office hit was as the damsel in distress in the blockbuster Spiderman film franchise.
With loyalty to the franchise, Dunst dropped out of movies for a bit to keep her profile low for the Spiderman sequels. Then the studio screwed her over, and cancelled the next film installment. Sh*t happens, right?!
So being a smart girl–Dunst has joined cinematic legend and ’vampire love interest girl,’ Kristen Stewart of Twilight Saga film franchise fame, in the indie film, On The Road that is going to bring to life the poetic journey of author/ writer Jack Kerouac.
To prove how smart Dunst is… let’s let Kerouac’s words do the talking as to why she signed to this film. Love her.

Kristen Stewart, the Californian actress who is partly repsonsible for the names Bella and Isabllea becoming the most popular names in America for baby girls this year, is juggling a pregnancy rumor, while promoting Twilight Eclipse.
OK Magazine takes the trending topic of Bella as a baby name and runs with the notion that Kristen is carrying Robert Pattinson‘s love child. Edward and Cullen are two boys names very popular with American mothers this year too. To give the story credibility, Oprah‘s name is thrown into the mix too to sell tabloid magazines off shelves.
Really though, if Stewart is pregnant with anything… it is Jack Kerouac‘s amazing poetry. Go here to read.

Romantic Literature and The White House’s First Family are the top trending influences of naming the next generation of Americans.
According to KStew Angel’s Kristen Stewart is ranked #9 and Robert Pattinson at #10 on IMDB’s Hollywood starmeter. Zoe Saldanas of Star Trek and Avatar fame sits at number 1.
With Stewart and Pattinson ranking so well amongst all stars in Hollywood at this moment, the power of Stephenie Meyer and her Twilight Saga literary legacy, translated to film looms large on America’s pop cultural landscape.
In the LA Times this weekend, (Saturday) Meyer’s legacy is having a big impact on the way mothers of America are naming their children. According to this rather interesting report, ‘Isabella is now the top baby name for girls, Jacob for boys, the Social Security Administration said Friday. Isabella’s climb to the top in 2009 ends Emma’s one-year reign. Jacob is on an 11-year run at the top.’
The article goes on to say that, ‘Many of the top names — and the fastest risers — match the popular “Twilight” series of books and movies about teen romance and vampires.’
‘Mom and Dad may be looking to popular vampire books and the first family for baby names: Cullen is on the rise for boys and Malia for girls.’
‘ Edward moved up 11 spots, to No. 137 on the list, and Cullen was the biggest riser among boys’ names, up 297 spots to No. 485. Edward Cullen is, of course, a vampire. His girlfriend? Bella, a common nickname for Isabella.’
‘A little more than 22,000 girls born in 2009 were named Isabella, followed by Emma, Olivia, Sophia and Ava. Nearly 21,000 boys were named Jacob, followed by Ethan, Michael, Alexander and William.’
So, Twilight and the White House’s First Family are hot trend setters amongst the next generation of American leaders names. Of course, no one is going to name their child Gaga so Twilight Moms rule the roost on the naming of America’s babes.

According to USA Today, Kristen Stewart has signed on to play the character Mary Lou, in the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac‘s On The Road novel and story.
America is such a vast country, only a road trip could help get a true sense of it all. For Oprah‘s May 13 Twilight Eclipse episode, “Kristen shared, “I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever. Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in On the Road. So that’s a big deal.”
The movie is based on the spontaneous road trips of Jack Kerouac and his friends as they journeyed across “mid-century America.” Garrett Hedlund of Minnesota and Sam Riley also star. Filming is expected to start this summer.
What I love about Kristen Stewart as a California born artist and actor, is that her film choices are always so varied and smart. She really wants to tell American stories that are important and culturally meaningful. Props to this superstar for that. And with anything to do with Jack Kerouac, this Twilight Saga actress has every right to brag. He crafted a sense of nationhood with his typed words that streamed freely from his brain. He had the courage to share these thoughts and be judged for doing so along the way. Put simply, he was an American great.
