I’m feeling me some gospel music today… because sometimes you need to look past men and their egos which mask a denial of fragility found in mortality– and you find that you need to look above their heads, at Someone greater and worthy of your attention, adoration and your spirit’s true worship.
Love will never block your worship to Someone greater. Love will support it. Therein lies the essence of Love at Easter time.
Here’s two songs from Whitney Houston and Jennifer Hudson who in the American tradition of gospel music and the cultural arts of America, are doing just that. Out of America’s dark roots in traditions of slavery, comes this sound. Over 400 years after the first slaves arrived in America from Africa, gospel music is still the sound of Amazing Grace today from Lady Liberty’s beautiful and resilient shores. As cheesy as it is, I Love it! Easter music doesn’t get more real than this. Happy Easter everyone.

So, these clips of Houston’s Nothing But Love Tour are escpecially being beamed out today from Hollywood down to New Zealand for Cherry Joy. Hey anointed sista singa!
Sing it up girl! :)
It’s so awesome to see Houston back in the center of her destiny and dream. Inspiring musical performance.

Strength is one of those beautiful characteristics in life… that is shared by the strong to inspire those who need some courage. True strength is found after enduring the longest and darkest night of one’s soul.
Sometimes you can even wonder, when that’s going to end. But courage arises in that moment to hold your hand and get you through. This one woman in this picture knows what true courage and grace really is.
To me, Whitney Houston‘s appearance and performance at the AMA’s is one of the great comeback moments of 2009 in American entertainment.
As Michael Jackson‘s bright show biz star, left this earth, Houston, his once peer, returns to inspire hope and great strength from America to the world.
Watch it again if you want to by pressing play here. I have watched this like about 5 times already. Whitney’s message is amazing. Great show biz moments rarely get more real or authentic than this. Enjoy!

It was a case of established American show biz royalty winning big on Dancing With The Stars as Donny Osmond (with the help of his dance partner Kym Johnson) were crowned the winners of DWTS Season 9.
That being said, it was really Whitney Houston who wowed the crowd on finale night with her performances of Million Dollar Bill and I Wanna Dance With Somebody.
Artists like Houston who have inspired over a billion people to dance the world over with her gift of song, (she is after all the living, female equivalent version of Michael Jackson) are rare in their ability to dip into their entertainment archives and perform two songs spanning over two decades of outstanding entertainment from America.
What an amazing star and artist Whitney Houston is and she delivered for the highlight of the night for DWTS audiences.
Video footage of Whitney’s performance is below. Congrats Donnie, Kym & Whitney Houston. If you want to sing along when you press play with a real American diva when she performs, lyrics of both songs follow below.

She is a living miracle and when she sings, Jesus turns up. Enjoy the uplifting entertainment from perhaps the greatest voice that ever graced the Ameriacn pop world.
Flawed vessels are always so much more interesting to observe. In their lives we see God.
Like, I’ve watched this uplifting shizzle about 3 times this morning. Thanks Whitney!

Entertainment Tonight is the TV show in American entertainment that draws the largest American audience to it for entertainment news. 14 million Americans.
ET’s website lists Rihanna, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas and the incomparable great, Whitney Houston as their top three divas who performed at the American Music Awards 2009.
Expect to see prime time TV coverage tomorrow of these three ladies. Magazine coverage will follow next week. The most moving moment of the AMA’s was when Country legend Reba McIntyre wept as Whitney Houston performed. That’s what music and entertainment is all about. Inspiring others.

Whitney Houston feels like a Million Dollar Bill performing her single on the UK’s X Factor show.
Who cares if Whitney can’t remember when her new album drops in The UK or when her tour begins, exactly, this is Whitney freakin Houston. Gosh…. girl needs to stop getting stage fright so bad… but she still does!
The singer who says she “sung myself out of my clothes” gave a live performance, whereas many so called divas don’t sing live these days. Props. Go here to see Whitney perform.

POETIX: PAPER GANGSTA SUPERMARKET AISLES -3.10.2010
Today my Maori gaze met with a mother’s eyes
stealing discretely to feed her child
in West Hollywood’s ”me, myself, I“
cruisy supermarket aisles
And as Lenord Cohen’s Hallelujah
played softly in the background
I wondered which paper gangsta
had murdered this ’Lil Mama’s
ray of light
in her once strong
American dream.
