ROYAL WEDDING CAKE DEMOCRACY by PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE MIDDLETON
The Sydney Morning Herald is doing way too much (again!) today running a fun story about Kate Middleton and Prince William opting to have two wedding cakes on their special day.
The first cake will be a traditional fruity cake, with white icing and white floral ornaments on it. The second wedding cake will be a family favorite of Prince Williams made of dark chocolate icing, crumbled tea biscuits and some other things.
Sounds like guests will get to choose their choice of wedding cake democratically on the day of the most watched televised event in world history, April 29th, when Will and Kate tie the knot.
I think I’d keep with the childhood favorite option too and go for the chocolate cake. What about you? Click on top pic to see some of the world’s finest cake makers in action.
The best cake’s of course are shared at privately owned beaches in the form of picnics with special friends. Maori people in particular love serving white slices of coconut cake after freshly seared entrees of beach fresh scallops kaimoana, on our beaches to guests with a squeeze of tahitian lime (just a hint mind), as a reminder that coastlines are like the edges of a cake, never to be eroded by over-eager guests.
Today though, the Prince could possibly be a slight bit hung-over. According to E News Online, via Claridge House spokespeople, it was believed that for the royal bachellor party celebrations, these mostly occurred on water. Whether the water was lakelands or coastal sea terrains, no one knows yet for sure.
The report states that “The 28-year-old and a princely posse of 20 friends spent the weekend racing motorboats, waterskiing and then going on a floating pub crawl before ending up at a country manor.” Sounds like a right royal blast. Creative.

WILL AND KATE’S ROYAL WEDDING IS THE ULTIMATE REALITY SHOW IN HISTORY, 2.4 BILLION WILL WATCH KATE NOT SCREW UP HER VOWLS
The Wall Street Journal today goes all out pitching Will & Kate‘s wedding as The Ultimate Reality Show in the world. Discovery Channel’s TLC Network will devote 89 hours of TV coverage across six days.
Over a third (2.4 billion people) of the world are expected to tune in via TV, online streaming coverage or radio in Will and Kate’s special day. For 10 years some TV networks have reserved a balcony opposite Westminster for this moment. 400 CNN Anderson Cooper workers will be based in London working on this one event.
The royal love birds will command the biggest TV audience in history. These pictures give a clue as to how.

WILL AND KATE ASK WEDDING GUESTS TO DONATE TO CHRISTCHURCH CITY IN LIU OF GIFTS
“Prince William and Ms Middleton have chosen charities focusing on issues which matter deeply to them and, in the case of the Christchurch earthquake appeal, a charity which reflects the couple’s close ties to and affection for New Zealand,” Mr John Key, Prime Minister of Aotearoa New Zealand said.
“I believe it’s a mark of great respect for New Zealand that the couple have nominated the Christchurch earthquake appeal as one of those charities.”

PIERS MORGAN DOES PRESS FOR WILL AND KATE’S ROYAL WEDDING VIA ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
Wow! I can’t believe US magazine Entertainment Weekly has succumbed to Royal Wedding action, here in Hollywood. Indeed, it was inevitable as the most watched piece of TV set to romance the world via The UK will attract more viewers in the World than the Super Bowl or The Oscars.
CNN‘s Piers Morgan plays UK Herald with his thoughts on why America should watch Will & Kate‘s nuptials take place. Says Piers, “Americans are absolute suckers for royal weddings. When Diana and Fergie got married, you guys lapped it up. Every tiny second that you could squeeze out of it, you squeezed.”
It’s interesting that the non-Royals are the big draw, to keep the Royal family’s star hot on the tele, as Piers puts it. But wait, the Brits have more in E.W to contribute:
“These days, so much has to do with what people are wearing, like the royal-wedding version of the Oscars in terms of, you know, who’s got the best hat, who’s got the worst dress,” says Glen Marks of the U.K.’s leading photo agency Rex Features.
“It’s the whole story as well, so not just what’s going on with William and Kate, but it’s the referral back to Charles and Diana and the saga everyone can’t get enough of.”
Whatever the U.K wants America to believe with this story, we’re on board in Hollywood. It’s just swell to see a young couple take marriage seriously. Got to be good for instilling faith in love, commitment and romancing in a new generation of kids watching these two pleasant kids walk down the aisle.
Will is always a favorite with Maori-Kiwis of New Zealand. His late mom, Diana, chose to associate Will’s first ever appearance to the world as a babe, in Waitangi – a historic site in the first Capitol home of Aotearoa New Zealand. To see Prince Williams as a babe at Waitangi, go here.

PRINCE WILLIAM WINDSOR AND KATE MIDDLETON WEDDING GOSSIP
I was thinking while side-stepping my 7th date offer of the week for Saturday via text, not even –that if marriage is down in the UK to the lowest level since 1862 this year (2 in 100 women eligible, married in Britain last year); and if Wales is exactly the same with marriage stats, and America is seeing the lowest marriage rate in the –what do we believe about marriage today exactly?
Do we believe marriage has got everything to do with a booming economy?
If so, our grandparents, or their parents or our parents, would never have married, perhaps never have made a commitment to each other–their kids perhaps might never have been born in the great depression and its aftermath effects.
So, if no one’s getting wedded, economies in the world aren’t exactly growing as well as we’d all like about now–what the heck does each day mean to most people? What are we working for each day? To look to a political leader for hope? Miracles? A good joke, to get us through perhaps? That’s always a bonus.
But in the silence of the non-ringing chapel bells, who are we living for and what? The hope that we’re going to turn a magical corner and that thing’s will get a bit better?
Do we believe in love and that irrespective of a dollar sign, or a secure salary we think is acceptable; love is still enough reason to throw a party for your mates and family anyway–everyone pitch in, to see vows exchanged in celebration of a fun, happy day in family life. Nope. Not at this moment.
Just when I was about to pat myself on the back, as a commitment-phobe–that my life wasn’t so bad in light of these new normal statistics, I was robbed of that opportunity of false security, yet again.
Instead, I saw this tabloid cover. A Royal Wedding rumor of Will and Kate.
Look, call me sentimental, but I don’t even care if it’s not true. Tabloid stories like this are needed in the world.
Needless to say, if these kids got married soon–it could well be the wedding of the decade. The lights on the global stage are dimmed so low, they’re ready for a big spectacular romantic wedding spotlight about now. Stars and stripes via The U.K. Why not?
US Weekly Magazine has produced a good magazine cover. Here in America as a contrast, I think Kim Kardashian could give this star couple of the U.K a run for their money, if she ever did walk down the aisle.
Alhtough Kim’s not a royal, her Los Angeles Cinderella reality TV story–would rank right up there in the age of social media-decided stardom.
US Weekly reports royal ‘sources’ as saying: “The couple will announce next year, their wedding date. Will has promised Kate she is ‘the one.’”

On the road from Serra Malibu, we stopped at the Road Inn for hash browns and pancakes with maple syrup, washed down with coffee. Then it was on to Palos Verdes, to the Wayfarers Chapel, to see the fruit of the romance tree in lively bloom of plentitude.
Trip Advisor says of Wayfarers Chapel: “Inspiring Beauty: This architectural jewel, all glass & wood, sits overlooking the rugged coastline of Palos Verdes, and is used for religious services and weddings, but is open for tourists. The gardens, fountains, reflecting pools, endless fragrant rose bushes make for a peaceful, thought-provoking meditative walk. Surrounded by trees, the views from the hillside change with the weather…. fog-shrouded like a Japanese painting, or radiant with color on a clear day. I think attending a church service would be profoundly beautiful, with the sun coming through the all-glass Chapel. IVANKA TRUMP IS SUCH A PC GIRL
After getting married on the weekend Ivanka Trump tweeted that she was back in the office Monday, working. What a trooper.
Of course, being a princess she has another wedding reception planned too at the Puck Building for 1000 special guests this weekend.
People Magazine say that Ivanka and publisher husband, Jared Kushner will eventually honeymoon in Kenya. As we know that’s where Obama’s father hails from. Kenya is the hot spot of American celebrities to visit alongwith Hawaii, President Obama’s home state.
Ivanka is so PC. Kind of diggin her today as Donald Trump‘s daughter comes into her own and finds her own wings and voice! She has a good head on her shoulders. Go girl!
IVANKA TRUMP HAS A PERFECT WEDDING
Hours before she walked down the aisle with fiance Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump tweeted:
“Everything is simply perfect – I’m getting married today.”
Ivanka and Jared wed at The Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey. Kushner is the publisher of the New York Observer. The Observer is all about keeping a tasteful eye out for: politics, media, real estate, travel and good food and drink.

NICKY HILTON COMMENTS ON THE KARDASHIAN WEDDING
The reason why Paris Hilton was not at past BFF’s Kardashian family’s wedding over the weekend was simple. The Hiltons were not invited.
Writes Betty Confidential who interviewed Nicky Hilton, Nicky’s statement is: ““I wasn’t invited to Khloe’s wedding this weekend, but if I had been, I would have stuck to ordering her a gift off her registry – it’s always the way to go. None of our family was invited to the wedding.”
Nicky Hilton is always so sweet. Why she always gets the PR job at cleaning up her sister Paris’ wake of destruction, must be a bore for her. The truth is: Paris and Kim were once BFFs. Then Paris was rude to Kim.
The lesson: Kim Kardasian knows how to make it about family, not just fame. Paris Hilton cannot yet see beyond her own self. That’s why Kim Kardashian and Kholoe and Kourtney Kardashian are US stars today, because Kim shared her spotlight.

Wedding dresses are now available as Costco expands their product market.
I blame Will & Kate for this new supermarket trend. JK. Costco are betting big time on April 29th’s big show day.
I like the idea that marriage is not about expense though. Imagine though, ‘your special day’ (what marriage has been viewed as being in the past after births, deaths, 21sts, birthdays etc), is now at your aisles reach, when grocery shopping. Remarkable really!
