Life-size Lady Gaga candles were made in the pop star’s likeness, not once but eight times by Madame Tussauds, the museum that is like a blog with celebrities visage, except that they use the wax as their artistic medium to make a buck.
Their existence as a museum is proof that often people prefer the iconography of something over the real thing. That’s a far more realistic experience for such customers of these museums who pay to see statues like this. That always fascinates me about ‘celebrity’ museums like this. Nutty stuff.
This version is the one that can be spotted in Los Angeles. Wax museums are always so halloween all year round I think. If you’ve met real celebrities, you will know that wax museums are a little bit creepy.
