WOODROW W. CLARK LOOKS AHEAD TO GLOBAL SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES, 3IR STRONG BONDS OF FRIENDSHIP

Woodrow W. Clark is a little bit superman today in the brains department. He’s holding a seminar on sustainability in Building Community via Education and Dialogue.

He notes that Korea and Japan are leaders in new green energy technologies. That China has followed suit and that these new inventions, discoveries will help us be sustainable in the Third Industrial Revolutions wave.

Can’t wait to see what New Zealand has to add to this too, alongwith America The Beautiful’s best scientists working closely in respect with Indigenous Peoples thoughts, think and earth centered mindedness. These people have been thinking this way for the longest time.

We are returning to their world views as wisdom.

SOME HOLLYWOOD LOCALS FEAR THAT MARK ZUCKERBERG IS INFORMATION COLLECTING FOR OTHERS

The best way to be is free. Don’t care. Write creative lives–(Horiwood on Facebook fears as a agency of world governments’ fears to ‘not know everything.)

Artwork today from the Hollywood hood as people question the user experience of Facebook communities and what is occurring within information going into this think tank of words [IP] networking [connect the dots linking mapping] and messages appearing at the sides of users Facebook pages.

And because this artist is drawing of all Hollywood’s attention to this fact (maybe true, maybe not) in this graffiti? post it art–let’s not even discuss what is occurring within the mobile telephony information sharing game either.

Mark and his buds could be totally innocent. This is just an artist’s impression and free expression. But you know, Wikileaks culture these days and all, it’s not hard to look innocent when leaking information. It’s all too easy. Just use a third party, right? In New Zealand, our peoples words, thoughts IP are viewed as cultural taonga that cannot be shared, sold etc by anyone. It’s written in law that our taonga remains with these people. I hope Facebook knows that? And were informed of this.

This artwork is a reminder that we must live our lives like their is no privacy. I’m fine with that. Are you?

This pic worth sharing today as inspiration to write exciting lives online and within states ‘wireless’ freedom. We’re so blessed here in the USA! China too with internet 3 x faster than what we have here in America.

The solution perhaps… is to spend more time on a blog, than Facebook, for this artist plastering this stuff all over telephone boxes. It’s totally spy culture paranoia. A common trend people are feeling more and more.

The trend rests on the premise, that no one wants to miss out on an invite to others fun. Governments are the worst for this. Invites are always more polite and better!  :)

I like to think that Mark did this poster himself, for a laugh. Now that is the best possible light to see it in.

“That is not a way to run a government. I can’t have our agencies making plans based on two-week budgets,” says President Barack Obama responding to the “shut down” situation with the Republican Party being hard to deal with again, which he fears will cost America momentum in an economic recovery.

REMNANT ART – THE FEAST OF BELSHAZZAR – 1635 by REMBRANDT

One for Ezra – In Aotearoa New Zealand we look after and we appreciate our remnant peoples. We also appreciate what remaining remnants of all earth’s resources there are to share with everyone on the planet, through sustainable living.

Once upon a time, a painter named Rembrand(t) painted this painting titled, The Feast of Belshazzar. It was painted on canvas, 167.6 x 209.2cm. In 1639 Menasseh published this interpretation in his book De terminu vitae.  Menasseh was a mysti[k]s scholar who would explain the meanings of culture to humanist scholars of his times. He also introduced his painter friend to Ephraim Bonus, a doctor. Like Menasseh, Bonus was a Portugese-Jewish member of Rembrandt’s community.

Rembrandt painted his friends because he discovered in his paintings that they had slightly distinct features, different to other subjects he had painted. This body of work, where Rembrandt became interested in their physiognomic peculiarities, was because Rembrandt believed not only the high priests but all Jews, even Jesus Christ, had looked like this. In the 1650s a young Jew frequently modeled for Rembrandt’s students while they were on their Christ painting modules of art in education.

Author Christian Tumpel notes “This reflects the change in the Master Painter’s attitudes towards the Jewish people: this people, who were distinguished because Jesus Christ came from their midst, had not ceased to be brothers of the Christians by remaining true to the faith of their fathers.”

Riveting stuff from the Arts World in the reference section of Visual Audio Arts BHPL, CA 90210.

Like I said… in Aotearoa New Zealand we are remnant conscious and remnant mindful people. We think green and that includes preserving peoples lives because we are incredibly real. There’s not a fake or shaved bone in most of our faces – we like to look after our original remnant people first, before we rock out and be super heroes like we can be and we excel at too – as if we have secrets to hide and have to. We don’t. Because such a view is our real status as a nation, and we too are in positions of changing this, getting it right before we can rock out and save everyone else’s non-Rembrandt thinking humanistic consuming ways that’s too heavy on the gas pedal –expecting spiritually-minded people to put ourselves on the block, for them, and go to battle and wrangle – without much of a thought to that… we must return to Rembrandt’s work.

I am sorry if we misled you that we didn’t know our ethics and morals and whose priorities lie where. We know where ours lie in New Zealand. We are decent people. This is our current status on justice. I love that about New Zealand, just like this magnificent Rembrandt painting also reminds us. Daniel saved whole kingdoms from toppling once. The best part of all, he did it from a basis of saving his own remnant through serving foreign kings with the truth on matters. His own remnant were once in states of captivity. He was quite a remarkable guy. His guidance never came from the systems of guidance around him. It came from a higher source.

One of our own great painters name in New Zealand was Colin McCahon. He once did a painting representing a candle in the dark. The candle was in the foreground of an Egyptian pyramid background. I am that candle today, writing on this zero-budget, virtual wall from Beverly Hills. Who would have thought? Not me. However, Remnants are US.

The original Daniel was a friend of Ezra.

In New Zealand our greatest weapon on earth is our humility a sense of fair justice that can Rise Up above fear. We don’t fear nuclear weapons, because injustice is the greatest bomb of all to my people. Because of that. There is a principle that is spiritual, that states people who are just are respected, even by their ‘enemies.’ Justice preserves the life of a King, through wise counsel that is spiritually grounded in the rich fertile whenua of ethics. This is our best defense plan. It does cost a lot though. I hold this painting up as a symbol of justice today. Justice is a living spirit in New Zealand we all serve, honor, work hard to maintain. Justice is our passion, it is what we do well with gifted eyes for the world and strong hearts that can look at facts and divide an equation fairly. Not for ourselves alone to look good, in this fleeting moment of time, but beyond us all, for generations still to come.

Peace. Mauri ‘Ola. Ni hao.

[This painting is mounted in London at the National Gallery. T 11. Bredius 497. RRP A110. Christian Tumpel is the author of Rembrandt, Images and Metaphors - published by Haus Books, London. FIVE BOOKS IN THE BEVERLY HILLS LIBRARY AS LITE READING – 4.4.11

Five books at the Beverly Hills library. Hmmmm…. which one does a man read?

So many books, so little time… what to do. I’ll let you choose. All five are available on Amazon.Com too.

Always read diverse opinions and views. It’s normal.

A lot of these different views aren’t found online, or, on Facebook, or twitter. They’re in Libraries.

These two are housed at the Beverly Hills Public Library, where “Hill Billies” (like me) go to learn about the world and get a clue in California.

BHPL is in my top ten favorite places to ever be, when in Hollywood. A little old lady with a bun (an octogenarian), recommended once that I spend a lot of time here. I did and I thank her for her gift and sharing it with me. This is her most favorite place to visit each week.

Peace!

HOLLYWOOD SYMBOLS IN A STORE FRONT WINDOW – THE LEMON TREE – 4.4.11

At The Lemon Tree, one store has this vibe about their snap shot of Hollywood history in this moment.

We’re content to be James Bond lead (it’s spy time), we gave up Superman to the UK (it’s his turn to steel it), we’re about green peas on our plates, we’re about fat chooks shopping and sharing their wealth… and a few other things.

Intriguing, laden with many symbols all worthy of giving a mood and a vibe in this pop cultural terrain.

As always in the hood every single month, Marilyn Monroe still makes the cut.

Masterful too at playing the ‘damsel in distress’ the US admits to feeling a bit like China’s concubine in this moment of being in debt. An honest expression of Hollywood? Or just this mad crazy town being always dramatic, that’s impossible not to all love. It’s what we do in Hollywood as an art form. Always a colorful store is The Lemon Tree.

INSIDE A PRESIDENT’S MIND – RONALD REAGAN’S RHETORIC OF SOLDIERS GOING TO WAR

“For everything, there is a season. A time for war and a time for peace.”–King Solomon.

The last week I’ve been wondering how Presidents and Prime Minister types can sleep at night, when sending troops off to war. I’ve been hot and cold on the topic weighing the balances of why we go to war, as a caring citizen. Unless you’re totally three sheets to the wind, how could leaders cast in such a position not think about their soldiers who are at war–and not be vexed in soul?

I’m not judging because in Hollywood, our souls are charcoled barbecued black. Black! I repeat, so black! I kid you not! Big city living can be brutally good! Evil at times in a concrete jungle. It takes its toll! You know, all those movie stars everywhere too! Blimey. Life can be brutal. :)

Thankfully in Beverly Hills there’s an exhibition on that covers this topic for Presidents and leaders who are embarking on the brink of an increased war effort.

The exhibition notes how once President of the USA Ronald Reagan crossed this bridge. He sought the help of Pastors and Rabbis to speak on the matter. What was discovered was that the word ‘kill’ is used in the bible. As in ‘thou shalt not kill.’ Yet in the original translation of the Torah of the old testament in Hebrew, the wording states “We should not murder.” Apparently “killing” not “murdering,” as what happens at war, was a revelation that provided some peace of mind to Ronald Reagan, a man who acted in Hollywood films and who rose to be cast in a nation’s greatest role. Here’s the visual evidence. Sorry, I forgot to turn the flash off when taking these. Like… doh!

I value life. I love Peace, yet this man’s discoveries in his Presidency (as presented in this exhibition) provide solace today (if any can be found in war’s losses) on this matter. They are perhaps worthy of being shared from an important American Heritage Arts and Culture exhibition of US Presidents challenges they were faced with at pivotal times in history.

It’s kind of an interesting concept to acknowledge that leaders are living cultural treasures. They make difficult decisions based on varying levels of information, to do their best with wisdom to direct and serve with their gifts of courage. Power corrupts, but the leader that values their peoples lives as much as their own, always wins any battle. God is with them in the battle.

If any soldiers or military are reading this, not to worry. I swear you won’t have a darker heart than me. You’re all good. Some days, in between my Starbucks lattes, I honestly think it’s a miracle, I haven’t been struck down by lightning and that I am still able to blog from Hollywood. Indeed, God has turned a blind eye on many occasion with great mercy. Humor too, I hope.

Kia kaha. Stay Strong. Work as a team. Always pray in battle. Make each other laugh as this is strength. And… Peace! :)

REMEMBERING DENNY MILLER, KING OF THE JUNGLE IN HOLLYWOOD TARZAN CULTURE

He starred in The Party and he protected the wild life.

Most of you are perhaps too young to know who Denny Miller was. He once was a basketballer, who became the first blond Tarzan starring as the protective white guy in the TV series Tarzan, The Ape Man. His role in Hollywood protecting an Island paradise was well watched world wide.

Denny was renowned for his epic fight scenes and his courage to protect his Island dwelling friends and their environment. Not only Jane his heroine, but also the animals in their green kingdom.

I used to watch Denny Miller as a kid in black and white on my grandma’s TV in Helensville with my cousins on the front porch some holidays. He was the king of action in his day. He made white lads seem so brave cause he just leapt right into battles like it was second nature to him as a protector of Island life. He just had so much energy to burn when he fought.

He also played the character “Moose” once on the hit show of I Dream of Jeannie. – that TV series starring an astronaut and a girl who dressed like Kim Kardashian. Denny also appeared once on Hawaii Five-O.

Miller’s sense of humor is reflected in his books he wrote and published. One even won an award in 2006. Denny wrote an autobiography titled “Didn’t You Used To Be…What’s His Name?” and a book about the USA’s obesity problem as he was a Hollywood fitness buff of California, titled “Toxic Waist?…Get To Know Sweat!”. Love it. He was a character.

Here’s a pic of Denny as Tarzan. He was discovered on Sunset Blvd by an agent and signed to MGM. Today, he teaches relaxation.

RUGBY FOOTBALL HONORS MICHAEL JONES WITH A STATUE

An artist Natalie Stamilla has her Kiwi heart set on sculpting rugby football player Michael Niko Jones in a bronze statue. The artist aims to honor what Jones has gifted the game of rugby football, New Zealand culture, his worldwide fans and his West Auckland community, close to neighboring Helensville.

One of the most famous sports moments of Rugby World Cup history is when Michael dived across the try-line against Italy in the 1987 World Cup tournament to score. The photograph of this moment has captured the young sculptresses imagination and artistic talents.

It is ironic that someone who doesn’t really care that much for ‘graven image culture’ (like Hollywood loves to rock out with as US culture as a norm) and who is known for his great athleticism and cool calm strength veiled by restrained humility would agree to the sculpture even being made. He’s just so humble.

The moment perhaps shows Jones’ sense of humor to honor his team mates of rugby football of the game by green-lighting the project and what all Michael’s peers have given the game too, when Jones switched from basketball to rugby football. It was a rare sporting moment at the time and he brought his basketball reflexes to rugby football – changing the game with quick creative play. Jones is also a big star of South African people.

Michael’s mother Maina Jones was a vibrant school teacher who would always say she “loved Jesus.” It was just her line. Saying such things today, can get school teachers in trouble, but with Maina, it just drew her many fans closer in to her warm heartedness. In that regard, she made modern law scientifically irrelevant. Her life would never have fitted these restrictions. When she died, she had the second largest funeral of any New Zealander known in New Zealand history at her passing for a person who wasn’t born in New Zealand. She was a legend too.

Her bubbly laughter was like a well of joy. Her face was like the sun shining. She knew no fear. She loved all people. All of her children have her zest for life in fine doses and are equally interesting people who carry this one gracious lady’s spirit of excellence in leading others with laughter.

Because Michael has a living likeness named after him too, Niko Kirwan, (rugby football player John Kirwan named his eldest child after his legendary bro), the above fun pop art tribute via New Jersey, USA is going up for Michael’s Kiwi mum who mothered John Kiriwin too and her unique ability to feed peoples’ spirits while feeding them at her family table.

Honoring Maina’s legacy today from The Entertainment Capitol of The World, is perhaps what Michael, his sister Kathy and older bro Derek, would all want to see with this story. She was special. One out of the box.

Maina was her childrens’ and Michael’s biggest fan and she was 200% rugby football obsessed like most Kiwi moms are. As a sport, she loved rugby football. We all miss her enthusiastic contribution to a sporting nation. Her faith was bright shining as the sun.

Talofa Michael Jones! God is always with Michael and his brother Derek – The Matai (Chief – one of them) of us all. Stay close.
