If you’re a Twilight fan don’t pee in your pants with this news, because California’s brightest twenty-something star is set to walk in the shoes of for director Palak Patel.
She not only brings her fan base to the deal but when you think about it, this is the story of America’s sweetheart at the movies as created and envisaged in California by a great.
Smart casting choice.

Crossword girl sits opposite me in the cafe, her feet in a cross-legged position on her chair as she scribbles, like it’s yoga class over coffee. It’s good to see someone writing in this day and age. Like, with a pen. I jump on Facebook and see my friend Dale from Wellington, Aotearoa-New Zealand wants to head to New Orleans for the Jazz & Heritage Festival this year. How cultured of her.
Dale must already be over racking up ten out of ten tans in Hawaii. Dale did that twice last year and loved it, but perhaps New Orleans would be more fun. She reads books anyway, so how’s that going to mesh with our spicy crawfish gumbo, serious paella palate research and sarsaparilla vodka martini sessions, with all the beaut music that dance-loving Maoris will instantly want to do, if I go with her? The world’s hottest books list, might feel a bit neglected, this US trip of Dale’s.
Then there’s all those vampire movie sets we’ll have to visit in New Orleans too, like where the Twilight Saga kids (Kristen Stewart, Alex Meraz, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson) all are filming, or where Oscar winner Anna Paquin‘s True Blood cast film too, or even where Brad Pitt, Kirsten Dunce and Tom Cruise filmed the Anne Rice novel adaptation too, of that film, Interview with a Politician Vampire we’ll have to get photographs of at – as well, if we do New Orleans with a Hollywood Maori twist. I don’t know if I can cope without my new Orthodox Jewish friends nearby for too long these days in such political-economic climates of the world; or when you pick up any newspaper. But I think I just might manage.
Of course we should as Dale and I always had movie dates in the nation’s capitol of Wellington when we both worked in government in New Zealand on Sundays, so we should keep our tradition going as US movie loving hori film buffs. Already the possibilities of fun in New Orleans are sounding tres exciting, and that’s months away. I know Dale already has friends there, so that could be rivetingly wild as Dale does biz too. She’s a bright spark with a fine sense of Nati humor, I have always been proud of to have as my friend.
Knowing Dale though, while I’m running around vampire set locations, she’ll be more green thinking conscience, like wanting to go and meet the real people of New Orleans who live in the lakes and inlet areas, to talk to them about how they managed to clean up the environment after the gulf oil spill crises with BP. Remember that?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Twilight Saga‘s Kristen Stewart has been named as the front runner to play Snow White, alongside Oscar winner Charlize Theron‘s Wicked Witch character and Lord of The Rings Viggo Mortensen as the Woodsman in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman.
A hot casting line up already, if Stewart accepts the role. Her rep hasn’t confirmed or denied the news yet. I guess Kristen is asking Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook (in his new role as clairvoyant to politicians and stars) what Mark thinks about this news, and whether she should or not. Lol! I think Stewart should do it.

Actor Peter Facinelli is finding it difficult to shoot both The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn movies at the same time – because he keeps forgetting which scenes he’s filming. The star, who plays vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the franchise, is busy working on the final pictures, which are set for release later this year (11) and 2012. MAORI TAIAHA CULTURE IN HOLLYWOOD: “One of the most sought after and valued Polynesian art piece is the Maori taiaha (pronounced tie-ah-ha). The taiaha is a traditional weapon of the Maori of Aotearoa (New Zealand). This hardwood weapon is used for close-quarters combat. Though sometimes referred to as a spearlike weapon, the taiaha is not used as a spear. Held with two hands, short, calculated strikes, blocks and thrusts are conducted to intimidate and exhibit the prowess, strength, power (mana) and the skill of the Maori warriors.–Black Pearl Designs. |

Director Bill Condon already appears to be adding his golden movie-making touch to the Twilight Saga. Entertainment Weekly (print edition only) has an exclusive first peek at Breaking Dawn – Part I. The romance setting- Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) as husband and wife on their wedding night, sets this scene on Isle Esme.
“It’s one of the most anticipated scenes,” Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon tells EW. “I spent a tremendous amount of time thinking about it. The anticipation is part of it and you want to play with what people expect and maybe subvert it a little and surprise them.”
Stellar stuff from Hollywood industry’s no.1 ranked cinematic couple for box office sales future.

Robert Pattinson gets more Facebook (The Social Network) friendly as a star watching world trends closely. Deadline reports, ‘Pattinson will star in Cosmopolis, the Don DeLillo novel adaptation that David Cronenberg wrote and will direct. Pattinson will play Eric Packer. A financial wunderkind, Packer risks his entire fortune to bet against the yen on a tumultuous day. His deed puts him in the crosshairs for assassination in a drama that is a study of capitalism in a slightly futuristic metropolis. Most of the scenes in the book take place in the limousine that transports Packer from place to place.’ A modern day road movie then. The easiest films to direct, with the movie to be carried by Pattinson’s face.
This pic or Robert Pattinson sourced from Cover Awards of New York who write today when observing magazine sales trends these words: “Men’s magazine editors take note: covers with topless pop stars, eight-pack ab-bearing models, Twilight stars who talk about vagina allergies and actors throwing karate chops/drinks sell like hot cakes on the newsstand.
Courtesy of the Audit Bureau of Circulations Rapid Report, we’ve compiled a gallery of the top selling men’s magazine issues of 2010. Leonardo DiCaprio on Esquire, Robert Pattinson on Esquire, Robert Downey Jr. on Men’s Journal, Rihanna on GQ and Sean Faris on Men’s Health. What do [you] think? Does the public have good taste?”
I think Cover Awards have good taste. They are consistently brilliant with all the magazine covers they provide us all year round. They have such a good website. After all, it is the cover that sells a magazine more often than not. Thanks C.A in NYC.

Writes Jonah Madeya, a new Horiwood.Com reader in Hollywood (pictured):
“Jesus, tu rate toutes les exentricites de L.A. ce qui s`est passer aujourd`hui n`est qu`une fine partie. So, change d`avis et debarque !”
Translation – “You miss all the crazy things that happens in Los Angeles and what you saw today, was just a smile thing really, so change your mind and come back here!”
That’s right, France, come back here!
The interesting thing I discovered today is that Jonah has a French HP computer keyboard, arranged tots differently to how our Anglais-American friendly computer keyboards are arranged. Also, when Jonah googles Horiwood.Com, totally different blog posts come up as being Horiwood.Com’s top google ranked posts than what you see appearing on USA computer screens via Google. I wonder why that is? Strange. Twilight Saga movie news posts are top ranking on the version of that Jonah uses. This is the top post that appears on Jonah’s computer from Feb 2nd 2009! Fascinating stuff. Here in Hollywood Google results , on my computer.
BTW: The French are so crazy about rugby football that they make mad promotions for their favorite football code, like this picture promoting Paris tourism with rugby football as a draw to watch live. You’d perhaps never see a quircke rugby promotion like this one in New Zealand. Australia? Yeah … most probably! Lol!

When someone steals/ shares? your sh*t, it’s always a compliment in Tinsel Town. Hollywood is doing just that to British lad Robert Pattinson at the moment, with this sorta lookalike American actor, doing a Pattinson in a Michael Douglas Wall Street ripped off TV series.
It’s called White Collar and posits that “to catch a thief, it pays to be one.” Or in their case, it pays to pose as Robert Pattinson.
Looking at the wider picture though – does anyone have any creative ideas in this town of their own – or is seguing into trends to spike existing market veins the only thing this town can do in Television?
I suppose we have to thank the U.K then, for a new Hollywood TV show. In a Hollywood humorist kind of way –this let’s you know how big a star Robert Pattinson is, and exactly what the American people think of him. Huge cloning compliments going on here!
Meanwhile the real Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart apparently spent New Years Eve together, again, three years running now. Cute.

I swear, fresh or stale, Robert Pattinson pics all look the same to me. Baby James Dean of the U.K styling over and over again.
Anyway, Stewart Shining a New York based photog who hasn’t yet discovered the limitless amazingness of New Zealand landscapes as photographic subject to photograph all year round, just tweeted this pic for every Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – parts 1 & 2 fans of the world.
In Black & White, not yet hot sepia brown of California. A good effort from Twilight’s two leading lights of Hollywood (Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson) currently ranked in popularity 2 and 3 on Hollywood’s daily star industry chart rankings.
In the spiriti of Stewart American art and all things rising in the world that are Scottish-based connected, here’s the Cruickshank Kiwi-family clan’s wool-loom woven tartan via Stuart/ Stewart of Atholl in Scotland – as stolen from my own sisters’ Cherry Te Aroha (The Love) Joy‘s Facebook account pics. An Arizona sense of Humor: “Just got three gold teeth for my new role! Peruvian chicks love a guy with gold teeth I have to keep telling them I’m not a rapper or a drug dealer but no one will believe me.”
Twilight Saga‘s Alex Meraz always makes me smile the way Alex tweets. His native American Indian sense of humor is very similar to Maori in New Zealand. Here’s the rest of Alex’ as a working action star actor of Hollywood:
On how fame changes community roles: “Just got invited to do a police ride along…and I’ll actually be in the passenger side and NOT the back this time!”
How to announce getting selected as a sex symbol of America: “Check out my photo for PEOPLE MAGAZINES “Sexiest Man Alive issue” in stores now “
On the joy of screenwriting is entirely one’s own–most times: “Been giggling to myself all day like a little girl…nearly finished writing a movie script and It’s a shake-weight stroke of genius!”
On prepping for Twilight filming: “Guess what script I’m reading? I’ll give you a hint…It rhymes with “Breaking Dawn pt.1″ Oops!!!”
On being a secret Miley Cyrus fan: Christmas came early!! Check out my new journal.
Lol!

True fact: The Maori word for spirit is wairua. It means “two waters.” Water distribution is a spiritually humane act, because it takes anyone with spirit to ensure that people who need it, can have life each hour of the day. Our spirits need to act with goodness so water can happen for 1 billion people. Most of these people are in India and Africa. I wonder if China can help as water has so much significance as a metaphor for spirit in China. When I China is already helping share water.
Exciting News: For only $10 invested at Charity Water, one person in the world can have fresh clean drinking water, for a lifetime – when currently 1 billion people don’t have access to it yet. Isn’t that cool information?
It’s the end of the year in Hollywood. Normally I do the list of The 50 People Who Were Voted Most Hottest in Hollywood, as a really good compare and contrast democratic exercise in who is actually hot –vs, other media outlets lists. It can be quite surprisingly the results. On this website, votes are voted daily. The results always provide a study. For example Lady Gaga was no.1 last year, before she’d even appeared on Oprah’s Show.
This year though I thought instead of glorifying Hollywood’s Top 50 list, a priority first, was to link the list of stars, celebrities, hot Hollywood topics in this blogs category list with the topic of H2O. Sometimes we forget that the difference between a ‘star’ and an unknown third world person – is simply basics of humanity or human rights too, like clean drinking water being one–and equal access to it. So, before that list happens, let’s work the existing list already created of people and stars on this blog, who all can do something to help other peeps have life that flows daily with decent water.
Let’s do it as a Christmas gift to the world. Each star who gets any press going up online, have these news items emailed to them daily in the form of google alerts emails. So, in doing this exercise, this is my challenge as a Maori-Kiwi blogger to each one of US as I like US together as a global community connected to all people in the world, to give the gift of water this Christmas to someone else in celebration of life. Celebrity is about water. A celebrity is “anyone who deserves to be celebrated.” In giving water to someone else–we celebrate life, and we act like true celebrities of the world.
Merry Christmas and if you feel inclined, make a difference. is our water distribution agency today. It’s a trust that is action certified that Nicole Richie all year round. Richie also does work too for water distribution via UNICEF as well. I think that’s pretty gnarly good. Let’s do it and make a difference. Cheers and thanks for reading this blog all year round. May festive greetings flow to others too through US. Much love.
Until every person has clean drinking water –no one in the world has true power. Who are we fooling? There will never be peace in the world, if people are fighting over clean water each day. As a power balance exercise that makes us civilized nations look less fake in the eyes of the world, let’s have some fun and make it happen. :)

Taylor Lautner: The only teen action movie star to clearly make it through Hollywood’s quick sand celebrity hoops in 2010 by playing a teen werewolf has managed to keep his newest relaysh with Lily Collins out of the public eye, at least compared to his tour-de-paparazzi-force courtship with Taylor Swift.
This kid never made the top ten in Hollywood this year, but still proves he can kick above his weight in Tinsel Town. He’s a symbol that teen lads can do anything if they work hard, get lucky breaks, if authors write popular book series with teens in mind that then get adapted to film; and with the right parenting behind them.
Lautner’s upcoming movie work in Hollywood sees him cast in the film: Abduction (Post Production); The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I & Breaking Dawn Part II as Jacob Black.

THE HORIWOOD TOP TEN – SAT 3.12.11
A singing teen who shares the same show biz name as Taylor Lautner‘s Twilight Saga character’s sister, “Rebecca Black” managed to chalk up major heat overnight as the world found our hearts in our throats while on world watch for our brothers and sisters of Sendai Japan in this nation’s dark hour.
Of Rebecca Black‘s online mini-hit Friday, commentary has not been kind about the auto-tune sound and the music video.
As one commentator wrote, “It’s like everyone involved was given cat tranquilizers and then forced at gunpoint to make a video. The expression on her face when she’s saying the “fun fun fun fun” line is somewhere between ‘I’m saying “fun” but that word means something different on our world’ and ‘Help me I am being held hostage by Kim Jong Il and forced to do this.’”
The jingle, was penned by The Ark Factory, who for the right amount of money can take your child and create a hit just for them. It’s sort of Glee-karaoke culture, but with an ‘original’ penned song. Read up on that here. It’s Rebecca’s expressions in the video where she’s in on her own joke that make her music video, a pure work of pop culture for teens in the USA. She’s like pizza for kids, her vibe is good to go.
Hollywood entertainment news as voted by you the people, here from Hollywood today, rounds out our top ten as follows.
1. The Kopa Kids of Maoridom for Japan
2. Friday by Rebecca Black
3. Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez

5. Teen mom, Jenelle Evans
6. Sendai Japan’s darkest hour
