America’s Olympics bid gets snubbed big time. Chicago is gutted today as Rio de Janeiro win the Olympics Games bid for 2016 in Copenhagen.
Two reasons played a factor: the weather is festive in Rio, but the main reason was, that South America has never hosted a games.
The Obama-led American team whose bid for Chicago got knocked out in round 1, were said to be shocked.
I was so certain Chicago would get the games. Congrats Rio de Janeiro. It’s the Samba Games 2016! That has a fun, warm ring to it. The winning speech for Rio delivered by Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said in the presentation: Read the rest of this entry »

Michelle Obama knows how to woo an Olympics 2016 bid for the city of Chicago. America’s reigning royalty landed in Chicago, Wednesday, to give a speech at a dinner in support of Chicago’s 2016 Olympic bid.
Switching up her ensemble, the First Lady wore a custom electric blue jacquard sheath dress by Jason Wu that she accessorized with a glass pearl necklace by Erickson Beamon.
Does this woman know how to work it for America or what?! She’s too cool for political school. [Source: Mrs O]

I jokingly called the Olympic Games 2016, the Obama Olympics, Tuesday, when Michelle Obama vowed to do her best, to bring the Olympic Games 2016 back to Chicago, her home state.
It appears that Horiwood.Com was correct in anticipating the 03 formula of America’s strategy to secure the 2016 Olympic Games on US Soil with the International Olympics Committee bidding process in Copenhagen, Friday.
As mentioned 03 = Olympics + Obamas + Oprah. It’s the best formula for broadcasted feel good branding moving towards world change in the world as greats join forces and unite.
Oprah Winfrey flies to Copenhagen to join her BFF, First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama in being a part of America’s presentation and bid to the IOC. Um… how could any mortal on the IOC not feel extremely honored and important, when the O3 join forces in one room. You just can’t refuse that combo?
Congratulations again America and Chicago for the 2016 Olympic Games. Woot! How exciting!
Winfrey, Wednesday: “I love and believe in Chicago, and I think it would be the perfect host city for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
As cheerleaders of America and The World, Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey are honorary American Lady Presidents in our book on horiwood.com, in the way they mobilize around their #1 man, President Barack Obama to lead with inspiration for America! Go girls!

O3 = Olympics + Obamas + Oprah. It’s an unbeatable combo for international sports branding. First Lady Michelle Obama is humorously competitive with her approach to get the Olympic Games in Chicago for 2016. I like it.
Talking to CNN, Michelle says her approach will be: “take no prisoners,” and “the gloves are off.” Michelle Obama adds: “no matter what the outcome is, we’ll feel as a country, as a team, that we’ve done everything that we can to bring it home.”
Oh heck! Let’s just call the 2016 Olympic games, The Obama Olympics.
Sounds great to me and it looks like its a done deal. With Obama’s worldwide branding power, that surely can do wonders for the Olympic Games Committe and their branding. It’s a win-win as Momma O goes out to get the Olympic games for her home city of Chicago. I love how she rolls.
The White House confirmed Monday that President Obama will jet to Copenhagen, Denmark, Thursday, where the International Olympic Committee will be assessing all nations Olympic bids Friday. An American President has never lobbied the IOC in this manner before.
Let’s go Chicago! World Class athletes on Michelle Obama’s BFF’s, Oprah Show every day! You can’t beat the added coverage and value to the Olympics brand.

She’s Health & Fitness’ new pin up girl too as well as Global Sports Branding’s “It” girl.
