MILEY CYRUS AND JARED FOLLOWILL ARE GOOD FRIENDS
After wowing the US with her SNL hosting gig, Miley Cyrus, 18, spend time with her friend from the Kings of Leon, the talented Jared Followill, 24 at Asia de Cuba in the Murray Hill neighborhood, NYC, that same night.
As fellow music artists do, a source says the two “looked very casual and comfortable with each other.”
Both met at the MTV Europe Awards in Madrid, Spain.

MTV’s commentary on Smilers star turn on SNL – Miley Cyrus,18, made her first ever appearance as host on the long running sketch comedy show, alongside musical guest The Strokes.
Cyrus said “Hannah Montana” was The Disney Channel’s version of “Black Swan,” before transitioning into “I’m Sorry I’m Not Perfect,” a song referenced a few of her scandals to date.
“There’s a photo of me dressed like a dude, and Annie Leibovitz tried to get me nude. For those of you who think that’s pretty crude, I’m sorry I’m not perfect,” Cyrus belted.
“[I] didn’t make a dirty tape, and pass it along. Didn’t text a dirty picture of [my] dong,” she continued, flanked by cast members Bobby Moynihan and Kristen Wiig. “Don’t’ both of these things seem worse than a bong? I’m sorry I’m not perfect.”
‘The show’s midnight centerpiece was, predictably, “The Miley Cyrus Show,” which continued SNL’s recent tradition of having the target of their hijinks appear alongside the actor lampooning them. In this case, Vanessa Bayer, whose spot-on impersonation of the giggly, hyper-loquacious Cyrus has become a show highlight, made room on her mock talk show for Cyrus herself, who in her best impression of the night played Justin Bieber.
“Did you know I smoked salvia,” Bayer as Cyrus said to her guest.
“Well there’s no reason that you wouldn’t,” Cyrus as Bieber replied, looking straight into the camera. “Because it’s totally legal, yo!”
Cyrus also danced beside Jason Sudeikis who was playing her dad, Billy Ray while also laughing when a 3D film called “Always Say Always” was introduced to compete with Bieber’s “Never Say Never.”
In addition to playing Bieber, Lindsay Lohan and Fergie a favorite was her “Disney Channel Acting School” skit.
She quipped to budding hopefuls hoping to break in to the biz, “On the Disney Channel, every person has to be the loudest person in the room,” and, “In the Disney Channel world, any child is smarter than every adult.”
Lol. Nice one. [And... thanks MTV for writing this]. I just can’t believe that Smilers, since we met 3 years ago, is still so sweet. In 3 years, America has been through so many radical changes. Miley’s star trajectory was one of the few constants her audiences saw get larger and brighter during that period. She repeatedly entertained during some of the most difficult years America has ever known, even before her grandma was born. Do they give out medals of Bravery and stuff for that? This kid is awesome. She should get one of those awards as a real deal superstar stabilizing?/ distracting? an audience during this time frame. ;)

This tactic was key in creating Angelina Jolie into an American megastar. Jon Voight her dad, was her first villain, then she followed this up with Billy Bob Thornton playing her villain husband too. While Star Magazine parrot this tabloid dirt. Us Weekly recycle Star’s idea running with a “Destroyed by Daddy” line. It’s very Mommy Dearest, with a gender reversal. A mother of a family, is sort of who earns the most for the family. In the Cyrus clan, Miley is like a mother, while also having a very sweet mom as well.
Let’s see how this angle goes for the Cyrus whanau (family). I like them. They are good people. Extremely sweet, with thick, weathered cowboy-cultured show biz skin. A winning combo.

MILEY CYRUS IS AWARDED AN ‘INSPIRATION’ AWARD
Our girl Miley Cyrus was the first person to receive the Global Action Youth Leadership Award this weekend in Hollywood.
Digital Spy, reports fellow actress and Disney alum Hilary Duff was on hand to present Miley with her special award that honors inspirational figures in the youth community at a gala event.
“I want [kids] to do something they love,” Cyrus said. “Not something that seems like a chore because someone tells them that’s the right thing to do or what their parents want or what’s important to people around them, but what’s in their heart.”
Too true. Staying alive is a good one for many kids in the world at this minute.

At the Grammys tonight, when Seth Rogen was introducing the performance by Eminem, Rihanna, Dr. Dre, Adam Levine and Skylar Grey he decided to be funny commenting on Disney’s ability to create teen music stars who then must adjust to life outside of Disney’s entertainment machine.
Said Seth, ”It’s my first time at the Grammys. I’m having a spectacular time so far. I’ve seen things I’ve never seen before, I’m hearing things I’ve never seen before. Just wanted to say thanks to the owner of this website. How cute. If you live in Hollywood, you will know that Miley and Demi are not in crises though as this headline claims. One minute these girls are Queens of a kiddie empire, next minute, they’re adults fending for themselves. It’s a very cold switch yet something they have resources to get support for. Because of this fact, an aspect of Hollywood life…
It’s always the ex-Disney kids ‘job’ (there’s no actual job description given to them in print here) to generate young Hollywood tabloid press from America, so these two are taking turns at that. It’s very public adolescence and growing pains played out in a temptation minefield that only an Entertainment Capitol is capable of surrounding youth with. Average California kids are very smart though, so really there is little to fear if you’re half as savvy as a local teen in this town. It’s a learned thing. So, to “all your Disney gossip” readers freaking out about your favorite child stars turning ‘adult,’ chill a little. They’re okay.

JOSH GROBAN AND READING THE BOOK OF EZRA IN HOLLYWOOD 1.3.11
I woke up today and read the book of Ezra. I was left thinking, how can you be Jewish and live in Hollywood, after reading that book.
It was amazing. Although a lot of stuff was weighed.
Ezra of old, was quite a unique guy when it came to nation building. He was asked by King Cyrus of Persia (now modern day Iran) to rebuild Israel in Jerusalem. As you can imagine, such moments in world history, are sort of like miracles, when King’s hearts are turned by a divine hand. Something in Ezra’s life spoke of purity of focus and courage to build. He was Hollywood dramatic too in the way he expressed what he felt for his people. He was a fashion designer’s dream client. His trait of diligence is perhaps something for us all in these times to learn from in rebuilding nations after that rather gutting global economic crises.
Ezra is a good example of why we should write things down as we build. Centuries later, a Maori from New Zealand is reading his words in a US city titled The Entertainment Capitol of the World. He was quite a writer then. A scribe I think, was the correct term.

According to research by marketing analysts at Experian Hitwise, has trumped search engine giant as the top-visited website of the year, of the websites surveyed in The West by Experian. Baidu.Com were not included in Experian’s research.
8.93% of all U.S. visits between January and November 2010 went Facebook’s way. Google still got a massive share of the market at 7.19% of visits.

When she’s not on set eating cupcakes with Kelly Osbourne, Smilers latest time passing activity, is to create her own fun. She turns to The Smith family of Bel Air for kicks. DISNEY TURNS TO BRITNEY SPEARS AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE TO MENTOR CHILD STARS
True fact – America produces the most fun teenage experience in the world that is media savvy. In particular a vision of the teen of California. Creating such pictures of California youth is a big global industry industry the world loves.
This year, Selena Gomez was the third most popular name in entertainment in the US. Miley Cyrus no.7. What both stars have in common is that they were spun concurrently via Disney’s child-star making factory. Selena in direct response to Miley’s star phenomenon no one quite expected to occur as evidently as it did.
The U.K Daily News reports that Disney has appealed to Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake to help mentor its child stars and ex-stars–in sharing about making the transitions as famous kids to adults.
Good luck with that! There’s not really a “From fame to real life” manual–it’s up to every individual to navigate that for themselves–but I like the sentiment of mentoring. Sounds wise. The weird thing about Disney is that child actors aren’t really thought about while they make the lucrative bucks for Disney–their problems begins when the child star realizes how much Disney (or the world of Entertainment) has taken from their young lives in the fame trade-off. Is Disney doing damage control here? Looks like it.
However, Disney is the surest way to create child stars from America perceived to be credible in the world. Such is the enduring legacy of Walt Disney as a star brand.

MILA KUNIS STRIKES HER STAR AGAINST MILEY CYRUS’ NAME FOR A HOLLYWOOD SPARK
While Mila Kunis (That 70′s Show & Black Swan) was appearing on Lopez Tonight, she let slip that she did not think that Miley Cyrus‘ ‘bong video footage’ on the ex-Disney teens 18th birthday had anything to do with Salvia.
Says Kunis: “She was smoking some weed! Come on, now; that was not no legal [substance]!”
Scandalous! Why would a fully grown woman want to go challenging a Californian teen’s word on what she says she was doing on her 18th birthday? It makes it appear that Hollywood’s emerging lights are being led by the global popularity of California’s teens. Cyrus has yet to respond to Kunis’ allegation. Just as well Smilers is such a good girl, most of the time.
At least Kunis is not too proud to admit it, as she heats up her Hollywood star against Miley’s heading into publicity stakes for 2011. A smart move by Mila as she acknowledges Cyrus’ no.7 ranking in the world of all “Entertainment Names” requested online in the Western World this year. Heading into 2011 the young are leading the world. This one fact we know about who people trust the most in the world right now as entertainers. I guess they figure, the younger someone is, the less they’re likely to lie to other people. I find this trend fascinating. Where does this leave the existing ‘power set’ of the world? Leading in their own heads perhaps? Let’s hope not.
Go Mila Kunis! She’s a beauty.
