Greed is like a disease. It’s the worst addiction ever. People go to great and extensive lengths to cover up their greed addictions. Revolutions of people, currently occurring are all about rebelling against a few’s greedy habits, over a majority’s better interests. Thankfully, here in Hollywood we have actors and directors and artists, who aren’t afraid to talk about greed. Let’s say the word… GREED. It’s good for us to say it. On that note…
Satire is something Natalie Portman excels at. Fracesco Vezzoli takes the Oscar winner and casts her with Michelle Williams in a satirical TVC, for a fragrance titled Greed, as a talking point for the Museum of Modern Art.
A smart commentary from the art world today. Love it.
Let’s say the word some more – GREED, GREED, GREED, GREED, GREED! It’s so healthy just to write it. When we discuss GREED, we break it’s power over us. I think this is exactly what this video is designed to achieve.
Already Portman is putting her stamp on the America’s Sweetheart role, tackling anti-semitic sentiments and greed three days after her Oscars win. I am totally feeling it. Love this art piece. Hot! Go Vezzoli.
