Who were the Kiwis I most admired this week?
I’d have to say all of the people on the East Coast cleaning up toxic mess. The people fixing gas pipeline leaks. The Fonterra farmers and Kiwi artists singing at the concerts for New Zealand communities. Wow!
Blind cook stories on the TV are also amazing. The visiting South African Pastor Shaun from Canada, Australia (“oops – I meant Canberra Australia) talking marriage counseling in the form of “noble communication.” Shaun says to be like David in the Book of Psalms (honest to a fault) but “try not to lop too many heads off, like he did” in his songs, while thanking God through depression and oppression.” Shaun’s words were timely for Kiwis and admirable.
I also liked “Sorry young people, that we don’t like you very much right now.” Too funny!
Alright… there’s a few! Thanks ya’ll.
