USA Weekend‘s, Robert Pattinson cover, proves just how slow mainstream media is to recognize and feature worldwide trends that are generated from Hollywood.
Hollywood bloggers do it better! But yes, finally, USA Weekend, pulled their head out of the place where the sun don’t shine, and realized that vampires were the hottest symbol for people in a recession economy.
World leaders who mismanaged in the financial crises by being too dependent on over-inflated, ‘paper money’ banking systems that equated to worldwide economic deception, cost teens and twenty-somethings the cultural velocity of their American (or global) dreams. Two generations were vamped by bad and greedy governance, of a few government ghouls.
As a result, as USA Weekend’s cover touts: we the masses now have “a love affair with vampires.”
Nice one USA Weekend, better late than never. And, any excuse to have a Robert Pattinson cover, the world will take it. :)
Meanwhile MTV says Robert Pattinson totally ripped off the once legendary Young Hollywood icon, James Dean‘s look. I don’t think so, otherwise his vampire contact lens (also borrowed from the Twilight Saga set and recycled in Peter Jackson produced alien themed film, District 9) would have been colored blue.
This article was obviously written by an MTV editor with hair envy. Bless!
What symbols are hot after vampires in Hollywood? These: monsters, ghouls, angels, fairies, hobbit (again), female spys, black female super heroes, Asian action heroes, African wildlife, pirates (again!), aliens and swans. Let’s go Hollywood!
