Authors, this is how you do it. Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twlight Saga, has a new book.
From her brain, to the page, to the publisher, to a book, to a movie, to… well, her bank of course. Variety is reporting that Stephenie Meyer has penned an adult love story called, The Host about aliens. As we’ve been reporting for three months now on Horiwood.Com, aliens are the next rage after vampires in Hollywood. Meyer seems to agree.
The Host is a novel that is a love story set in Earth’s near future, that an alien species has assimilated into calling themselves “Souls.” Parasitic by nature, the Souls subsume the conscious of humans by possessing human bodies. Or in other words, Stephenie Meyers has just ripped off the bible, switching out what the bible says about demons for aliens, and just repackaged this concept and sold it. Clever!
A Soul, called The Wanderer is fused with a dying human named Melanie Stryder,(Stephenie Meyer’s onscreen moniker, but back to front) to locate the last humans hiding out on Earth.. The Wanderer cannot subsume the forceful Melanie, and they battle for the girl’s memories and her spirit.
Wow – this really is like the bible. Love it! Ephesians 6 v 12 says: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Hello Stephenie Meyer’s new book concept! That’s it right there.
Hollywood has so much confidence that Meyer’s ideas will give them a return on investment that Producers Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz have used their own money to acquire screen rights to “The Host,” the first adult novel written by Stephenie Meyer.
Congrats everybody in Team Meyer’s new invention.
