Off the back of Twilight and True Blood, The Vampire Diaries show that the people cannot get enough of vampire sucking narratives. They are recession relevant narratives, striking a mood, where people feel that their life blood of hard sweat and savings, has been drawn out of them by the World Bank and their governments.
