Meryl Streep and Amy Adams new film, Julie & Julia about American home cook turned TV cook, is causing a raucus on the internet today here in America.
The movie trailer is above, and Ms Julia Child cooking, for real is below. I loved her growing up in New Zealand watching her shows sometimes as a wee sprog, because she always threw the contents of her glass of wine into a lot of dishes she cooked.
That always seemed quite naughty. Julia Child was fun. Years later, her fun spirit lives on in Julie and Julia’s appeal at the box office. Happy cooking, living and eating today ya’ll. Embrace you inner foodie. It’s all happening indoors. Home cooking rules the world at the box office this weekend.
