Shakira’s new single CD cover of her song, She Wolf, is about to drop. I dg Shakira because her hips don’t lie, but she also donates mega millions to third world organizations each year, from the proceeds of those same hips.
She’s like a modern day Mother Theresa, sans habit but with musical hips. What a star! But why has she gone the way of the wolf?
Shakira, along with a host of other stars in 2009 picks up the “wolf” trend and wolf theme of 2009.
First we had Taylor Lautner in Twilight and New Moon whose head of the Indian Wolf Pack. Then the 3 Wolves tee went berzerk in sales on Amazon.Com. Wolverine with Hugh Jackman became #1 at the box office in its opening weekend. The film franchise is set to do a spin off series with Ryan Reynolds as the lead.
Anna Paquin’s True Blood, teams up a world of vampires with wolves and other creatures making guest appearances throughout the series set in New Orleans. And, there’s major talks in Hollywood to remake the Teen Wolf movie, that originally starred Michael J. Fox.
Why is the wolf so popular as a theme? Because wolves hunt in packs, and in a recession, the community (or the pack) get people through.
