TigerWoods

Joining the girls, (Angelina Jolie, The Incomparable Oprah Winfrey, Madonna and Beyonce) is Mr Tiger Woods. After these four ladies of entertainment, Tiger is the top ranking male celebrity and athlete in the world, according to Forbes magazines Celebrity Top 100 List.

This is rather a remarkable feat, seeing Woods was largely out of the spotlight over the past year recovering from a torn ligament in his left knee giving other male celebrities a chance to lift their A game in the star system and in the golfing world too.

The injury cost Woods over $3million in overseas appearance fees, but he put his creativity to good use. Tiger Woods began to design golf courses in his recovery time. He’s already masterfully designed courses in North Carolina and Dubai. He has further announced plans for a third course in Mexico.

Woods also has lucrative endorsement contracts with sponsors like Nike, who have achieved golf sales of $725 million last year with Tiger at the helm of their global marketing campaigns.

Woods quickly picked up an endorsement deal with AT&T after Buick went down in the recession with Crysler. He’s a winner, and he has a caddie from New Zealand. So this man not only has good taste but can do no wrong in our book on Horiwood.Com.

In the eight months that Tiger Woods was off the golf green, (his “office”), Woods witnessed the first black president of the United States elected to office in Barack Obama and the birth of his first son, Charlie Axel Woods (or Lil Tiger as we call him).

Congratulations Sir! You deserve every award and accolade that’s dished out to you!

I used to like Tiger. No more. He sulks when he is losing and you can see it written all over his face. His ego and pride would not allow him to sit out the U.S. Open and now Karma is going teach him some humility by not allowing him to reach the lofty heights that he had at one time attained. None is this is tragic of course. No lives will be lost. But Tiger will have to bear the fallout of watching his stature and popularity in the game take a bashing as people begin to settle on accepting a new Tiger that will be a mere shadow of what he once was. Pride always comes before a fall, and Tiger is falling. It might not become apparant now. But as the loses mount and as the time between wins becomes greater and greater, it will become obvious to all. It will be sad for all Tiger fans, and his downfall will be analyzed for years to come. Most of the talk will be about what could have been, and they will look back to that U.S. Open in 2008; the last Major he will ever win, and be bewildered at the price he had to pay for that victory.

LIKE HE WAS THE ORIGINAL BARACK OBAMA OF GOLF

I see Tiger more as a cultural ambassador of America and the Sport

He’s not getting any younger, but he’s still the bom!
