u2tourSuper rock band and humanitarians for change, U2, are gearing up for the greatest tour of their lives. Here’s the spin on the tour:

The U2 Tour will be called Kiss The Future. It will begin in Summer on June 20th in Barcelona, playing stadiums worldwide until 2010. That’s a long time on the road!

A 360-degree audience feature will seat fans in the round with a cylandrical video screen that puts fans in the center of U2‘s vision of the future. Smart, the fan is the center of a future of change. I like that! Very creative.

U2′s, The Edge soke on behalf of the band when he said: “We’re very excited about the idea to go on the road with this album (No Line On The Horizon). It… [will] translate so well to the live context. The songs we’ve tried in rehearsal are sounding fantastic, so that’s got everyone really fired up.”

Live Nation, the shows promoters say: “The experience of U2 in a stadium is special and unique, and it would be great for North America to experience that the way the rest of the world did the last time around.” Good logic, keep America waiting for the best show ever! It’s good PR and you can only tour in and around America first when you have U2‘s lucrative global fan base. Nice PR and Tour strategy. The finale being in the US.

The Kiss The Future Tour is expected to be one of the highest grossing tours in rock history playing at least 90-100 shows over the next two years. Congrats U2. Keep inspiring da hope worldwide fellas!
