SUZANNE HINN WIFE OF EVANGELIST BENNY HINN FILES FOR DIVORCE

19 Feb

Big story of the day: What happens when a woman who can raise more money each year for humanitarian causes than a global pop superstar like Lady Gaga can–files for divorce? This is Suzanne Hinn‘s story today.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting today that: “Suzanne Hinn the wife of faith healer and televangelist Benny Hinn has filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court.

Suzanne Hinn filed her divorce papers Feb. 1, according to the court website. Her attorney, Sorrell Trope, could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.” Other website sources say that Suzanne is citing “irreconcilable differences” as her reasons for divorce. The couple were married for over 30 years.

Not that it is any of my business… but I wonder what Bennie did ‘wrong’ for Suzanne to want to say, “see ya later.” In terms of being humanitarians who touch the world with aid and alms, this is akin to someone like Angelina Jolie separating from Brad Pitt, to put this story in perspective–in a way that mainstream jounalists perhaps never would here in America.

Benny Hinn’s story and humble beginnings — reads like this: “He was born on December 3, 1952, in the port city of Jaffa (part of modern Tel Aviv), Israel, where his family had set up residence as immigrants to Palestine from Greece. In 1968, not long after the Six-Day War, he immigrated with his family to Canada.

As a kid, I remember being shown a tape or ten of Benny Hinn when he first started out and came to the world’s attention. Here was a man with a genuine gift of healing, and yet the way he displayed it was very over-the-top, dramatic and flamboyant–to say the least.

From New Zealand, from across the other side of the globe, I remember thinking “Wow. America really is one of those nations where new immigrants to America can have a platform to lead from.” That message was a good one, to send the world from America in my opinion as a child.

The Hinns have come under criticism for the amount of money they can generate through a TV platform. Usual accusations arise when a power-couple can generate such funds not only in America, but worldwide. Questions like… where is the money being spent? etc, etc, etc. But lets talk about healing, as that is something that even the IRS can’t wrap their head around when scrutinizing the Hinns and their ministry.

Personally I believe in healing, whether that be through a person with a genuine gift of healing–as Benny Hinn clearly has, or be that gift of healing be through a ground-breaking medical doctor in the world also. Each–has a different expression of a healing gift the world needs. Who is to say, one is not as important as the other? Both work and are needed in the world.

Today Benny Hinn Ministries underwrites the free care expenses of such powerful medical outreaches as a hospital in Calcutta, India, where over 200,000 patients are treated annually, and My Father’s House children’s homes in Mexico and the Philippines.” That’s pretty amazing.

When you think that 230,000 people were lost in the Haiti earthquake and the whole world has mobilized and is mobilizing to act on behalf of Haitians future and that Bennie and Suzanne Hinn have been world leaders (not just American leaders) who have helped faciliate life-giving medical aid to 200,000 people per year, this is a sad day today for the Hinn family and the sick and poor of nations in the world needing care.

The lesson if there can be found one in this story of romantic heartache today is perhaps… Husband and wives need to be more mindfull to look after each other and one’s own family as best as you can– as well as worrying about the wider world. Family is your #1 ministry in life.

Judging by this pic, Suzanne Hinn spends less time in the nail salon, than a Kardashian reality TV sister does– so for a woman who is the spouse  of a leading TV personality with their own TV show broadcast in over 200 nations on earth and living in the public eye, Suzanne doesn’t look like she has excessive-tastes to me–despite what her hater-raters may say on the web. She’s just an American woman in the spotlight.

It’s sad her marriage couldn’t stand up to the pressures of the responsibility to lead. That’s a lesson for us all.

Usual questions will (and should be asked) when a good woman decides to leave her spouse and life partner. Questions like: are there any third parties involved? What are the irreconcilable differences at stake, etc etc etc. This is going to be quite a story. And personally, I’m really interested in what Suzanne Hinn has to say on the topic, if she so chooses to share this with the world.

All marriages are important. Everyone deserves to have one if they love someone and hope that their love relationship is special and will last a lifetime. That’s a dream all people have and should be allowed to have, which makes this story sad today from Hollywood. Peace ya’ll.

GOOD. Let him lose millions of dollars. He’s a wolf in sheepskin clothing.

Benny is a godly, sincere servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe the Lord will bring them back together in a wonderful, blessed marriage. Sometimes one’s “friends” can lead him astray, even if it is just in ideas that are not healthy.

    Dear Benny & Suzanne:

I read heartbreaking and painful news of divorce. Please turn away from it. Please find out more time for prayer together and family life. Family life is important. If some body deceived you, please see it from Satan. The Spirit of God will help you for a better family life and my sincere prayers will be behind you for your family and children. We have only one life in the World. I am hoping and praying that my words will open your eyes and mind. With best wishes and prayers……Brother Abraham/India.

Like Job’s critics, many are quick to judge. Of course, Jesus warns against judging each other lest we be judged the same. The wisest thing we can do as believer’s is pray that God will heal both of them and their family. May the Lord give each of us a heart of compassion to love and not pass any judgement lest we ourselves be judged.

I love Teri Burns comments on judging. Then again, when women vote with their feet, we have to thank God, thank God gave women feet too. They are not Geishas propping up male ego, without being an equal. rib from rib. side by side leadership, is something all men need to get a grip on, before they lose a good thing. i wish them both well. together or apart. only the two of them can work this out. whatever they decide, should not change anyone’s opinion of either of them. just be happy.

dear suzan, you people have affected my life, pls don’t let satan put u people asunder, consider the souls God has placed in your care.nigerians didn’t take this news lightly, i personally didn’t believe it, wonder what went wrong that u people couldn’t settle dat led to divorce, satan and agents are happy, don’t give him that pleasure pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

HORIWOOD: VICKY JOE IS HILARIOUS TODAY! Basically, men need to look after their women better. that’s the #1 rule of harmonious marriage. this has got very little to do with God satan agents and more to do with lack of pleasure, otherwise suze would be sticking around, her man. it is sad. but lets not blame satan, or god.

please guys do not let satan use any of you , if any thing went wrong please try to pray and ask GOD to help you, do not continue that sad process of divorce, come back together , that my wish and i beleive that GOD is there for you.

HORIWOOD – Marriage is never a prison. Women should be listened to as well as men. If momma aint happy, and peaces out! It’s often the man’s fault. Period! Why should she pretend it isn’t!

i wish that they may reconcile, i can imagine how the children are feeling right now. I have had to live with the pain cause by the absence of a normal nuclear family and the presence of “the steps” and “the halfs”. It ain’t a good story!
