Zoe Saldana is the undisputed American Queen of science-fiction films that are top grossing at the box office. Her next film project sees Zoe working with Maori actor, Cliff Curtis in the film Colombiana.
The plot line of the movie, goes a little like this: “A young woman grows up to be a stone-cold assassin after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target – the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.
Think of the bible story Haddasa or Queen Esther, from The Book of Esther, with Zoe starring as the Queen, set in a kingdom of drugs, cocaine, violence and gang warfare; with brother Cliff, starring as her Modecai, her guide and Uncle. Sounds like a good film. Two fine actors in the lead roles. And with a Hollywood Maori King by her side, how can America’s box office queen, go wrong? Hot box office combo.
