For a youngster with hopes in the music biz, Phoenix Phenom has a good sound.
Phoenix (aka Ebony Latrice Batts) is finding out the hard way, that when you have potential in show biz, hide your hot shizzle when pitching your work to record labels.
Insterscope who also work for the Black Eyed Peas are being sued by Ebony and her collaborator, Manfred Mohr for allegedly using this song to become the Peas smash hit, Boom Boom Pow. As a consumer, I think both songs are pretty good. Thanks Ebony and BEP for the music. Keep it coming.
Interscope’s key personnel… need to be a little more creative, before feeding their ‘song ideas’ to their star acts to pimp out and make the label their cash. Shocking!
Especially when girls of hip hop are so scarce on the ground! This is sacrilege in the Africa-American community–sacrificing Ebony’s start in music like this!!! Thanks to the Peas fame, she’ll do okay now. :)
