Love this storyline of Kick-Ass, when an average teen decides to become a super hero. It is good nation-building storytelling stuff in a recession at the movies! Dig it.
KICK-ASS tells the tale of an average teen Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), who is a big comic-book fan. One day deciding to become a super hero, he chooses his super hero name, Kick-Ass. Choosing a suit, make-up and mask to wear he sets out to rescue people from villains. He just has no super powers.
His life is never the same as he incites a subculture of copy cats, is a target of villains. A highlight of the film is when he meets a pair of crazed vigilantes, in the form of an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
Let me at this movie. Sounds great for kids and families. Teenagers are the heroes of the new world. Go Kick-Ass at the box office!
