1. Kylie’s concert opener was one of the best ever. Think tweetie bird, descending on Sylvester the Cat’s head, as a feather boa-ed Minogue arrived singing on a chrome skull from the proscenium arch of The Dome’s famous stage. It was an amazing show opener moment.

2. Couture. Couture. Couture. Kylie Minogue commissioned Jean Paul Gaultier to provide her haute moments. Kylie’s show opening, Gaultier dress had both booty and hips designed into it, front and back. Minogue and Beyonce (who has Thierry Muegler as her couture stylist) know that a diva sings in real couture. Such class.

3. Kylie sings every one of her songs live and holds her notes pitch perfect. One word… dear Britney. Minogue sells it, fearlessly.

4. Her Hollywood tribute was amazing. Minogue channeled old movie star glamour to pay tribute to the “hallowed ground” she was performing on, at The Hollywood Bowl. The tribute was so working in Hollywood. LA felt honored.

KylieMinogueDream5. Taking a chance and making sure you dance, was the message of her new song, Better Than Today. It was also the spirit of her US Tour. Fun, and yet a risk, that was so worth it for her fans.

6. Minogue’s Aussie charm was delightful. Whether it be wearing a haute coat, for 30 seconds just to milk a laugh from the crowd that she is a diva, was just so Australian. Kylie  is hilarious. And what a coat! The to make us laugh some more, the diva indulged herself at The Bowl, by  saying, “Oh go on then, bring the warm drink,” before she delivered a heart breaking ballad. She’s a hoot, as we’d say down under.

This video clip is from Kylie’s Vegas Concert. When Minogue performed Can’t Get You Out of My Head, The Hollywood Bowl went wild with spontaneous dance.

7. Minogue is very generous to her band, singers and dancers. I’ve never seen a diva introduce her band members so generously before and with such enthusiasm. She’s got a lot of class.

8. Her rocked up version of Kids was one of the highlights of the night. Australia’s pop princess shows she’s  versatile with a good range  of singing styles she can easily slip in and out of, as effortlessly as a costume change.

At times, a dancer held her mic as she dances and sings (no other diva lets go control like that), and Minogue can sing a whole song, while doing the splits as dancers carry her over their heads across the stage. We forget that she’s a dancing showgirl! She  reminded us of that last night.

10. For the finale, Kylie’s jazzy, slowed down version of Lucky was amazing. A song she’s sung for over 20 years, definitely defined Minogue’s take on life. Having survived breast cancer, Kylie Minogue knows just how lucky she really is. This is her life’s anthem. What a girl. What a concert. Wow! You just get the feeling with Kylie Minogue, that she’s just pressing on, enjoying life. The Bowl held a full crowd. Loved her concert! [images: KyliesPlace.Com]
