Kristen Dunst’s fan crush on Oscar winning Kiwi director, Jane Campion, saw Dunst gate crashing Campion’s party this week.
TV3 News of New Zealand is reporting that Dunst stunned partygoers in The Big Apple celebrating, Jane Campion, the famed director of The Piano. Dunst gate-crashing fun antics occurred at The Plaza Hotel’s Oak Room, where she did an impromptu audition for Campion.
Let’s just call it a Hollywood singing telegram from an American to a Kiwi. Cute story.
Dunst, the star of the Spider-Man film franchise, is vying for a lead role in Campion’s latest film project, Runaway, based on a collection of quirky short stories of Canadian author Alice Munroe’s talented writings. Campion is all about, a female book author, plus a female script, plus a female lead star, plus a female director.
That’s so rare in Hollywood. No wonder why Dunst is going bonkers. Dunst been in show biz as long as Campion has. Perhaps Kirsten can see what Campion has done for once, child actress, Anna Paquin’s career in Hollywood now, and she wants a piece of Jane Campion’s magic touch. A pretty smart move for Dunst on the Hollywood chess board.
How did Kirsten Dunst audition? She did it old school Hollywood styles, by tap dancing Shirley Temple styles. Classy. How respectfully cute. I hope the Kiwi gives Dunst the job! Go on Janey!
