Jokes aside, the man who is well too overpaid to advise talent on anything, other than what they already know about their own talent … is actually refreshing as he opens up about his bouts of severe depression that hit him days at a time.

All celebrities experience this reality under fame’s spotlight. Fan adoration, can cause people to not want to deal with peeps for days at a time.

However depressed Simon Cowell is… all of sympathy this week goes to Paula Abdul. While Cowell’s pay rise went from $37million for his contract with American Idol to $100 million, Paula’s contract has yet to be renewed and she is most likely not going to return to A.I

They will need to truck in the empathy, as sustained empathy towards contestants is not something that Cowell brings to the package. Only Abdul does.

I think greed makes people depressed if they are honest about it. Perhaps Simon Cowell needs to share more. Let’s start with sharing with Paula!

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that American Idol do want Paula, but they haven’t negotiated her pay yet. Abdul reportedly gets between $2-$3 million for her Idol contract.
