Farrah Fawcett recieved an Emmy nomination posthumously for her NBC documentary Farrah’s Story. It was both a tearjerker as well as an incredible celebration of a brave woman’s battle with anal cancer.
Ryan O’Neal released this statement:
“For the Television Academy to recognize Farrah’s Story with this nomination is such a wonderful acknowledgment for Farrah and her legacy. I know that she is smiling that fabulous smile right now in heaven, and that she is grateful that the show has been so well received not only by her peers in the industry but by the public at large.”
Aw! Bless!

Ryan, my wife (Pam) and I met you in October of 1999 in LA at a seminar for our sons’ school. Redmond was in Mexicali and Corey our son was in Montana. I recall sitting with you on our breaks and discussing how we each wrote to our sons everyday!! We lost our son Corey, 3 years ago to suicide. We have been following your lives for the past 10 years (you, Farrah and Redmond). Pam and I want you to know how sad we are for your loss of Farrah and the struggles that Redmond has. We hope that your health is holding and we think of you often. We pray that Redmond will turn his life around, never give up on him as long as you have him. We didn’t with Corey.
Take Care and God Bless [HORIWOOD: Okay I'm not the Redmond-Fawcett Family. Thanks for your note and commenting on horiwood.com--I hope Redmong, Ryan, Tatum and other family members see this. Sorry to hear about Corey. Thank you for reading Horiwood.Com. God bless too.]
