It’s been dubbed as the hottest ticket in show biz. The real life court room drama today when Rihanna takes the stand with Chris Brown to give her account of what went down on February 8th when Chris Brown beat her to a pulp.
At 1:30 p.m, Tuesday, both Rihanna and Chris Brown begin preliminary hearings on the assault charge. Rihanna will outlay her version of the event that followed a Grammy Award’s pre-party the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards.
Camera’s are not allowed in the court room and the two pop stars will arrive separately. Today’s hearing will determine whether there’s enough evidence for Brown to stand charges.
Brown has pleaded not guilty to two felonies, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury and making criminal threats against 21 year-old Robyn Rihanna Fenty. If the case goes to trial and he’s convicted, Brown could end in the slammer for up to four years and eight months.
We wish both young singers the best future, and we hope justice rules fairly in this difficult case. The loss of their relationship is sad enough. Oh, what could have been if Brown had not beaten her. Sad.
