Mumbai’s Rubina Ali is 9 years old and is an actress of Slumdog Millionaire worldwide fame and Oscars acclaim.
Rubina’s now about to add author and humanitarian to her resume.
Ali is currently writing a memoir about her life in Mumbai before stardom catapulted her to fame.
Proceeds from the tome, Dreaming: My Journey to the Stars, will be donated to Ali and Medecins du Monde, a French medical aid organization.
“Rubina brings alive a world of wastelands and rat-infested shanty dwellings, and shows us her home, a wooden shack with a tarpaulin roof, where she grew up with her beloved father and siblings,” said a statement released by Transworld Publishers. The book hits UK shelves mid-July.
Not bad for a 9 year-old. Maybe she has the Miley Cyrus show biz marketing gene!
