Hollywood and America bows their heads to Angelina Jolie today in respect. Chicago doesn’t! Angelina Jolie has just been named Forbes Magazine’s #1 most powerful celebrity in the world. What an achievement for Angie!

Oprah sits at #2. Angelina has made $27 million this year, not as much as Oprah (who made $275 million in the past year), but Jolie’s media influence is farther reaching worldwide,  to give her the top spot. Her success in Kung Fu Panda and the action packed film Wanted, ensured her the top honors.

Madonna came in at #3, ahead of Beyonce Knowles, Tiger Woods, Bruce Sprinsteen and Hollywood power producer, Steven Spielberg.

Jennifer Aniston and Agelina’s partner, Brad Pitt, came in at number 8 and 9 respectively. Kobe Byrant of the LA Lakers came in at #10 due to his heavy endorsement deals he picked up after the Beijing Olympics cast him as a global superstar in China.

President Barack Obama came in at #49. Alec Baldwin was #91 (a newbie!), Meryl Streep sits at #64, Toby Keith at #58 and Rascal Flatts at #42. TV Host Glenn Beck was a surprise on the list and Taylor Swift debuted to #69.

Stars who fell off the list were Justin Timberlake (lat year’s#12), Jennifer Lopez,Johnny Depp and talk show queen Tyra Banks.

Congratulations to Ms. Angelina Jolie. Despite all of the trauma and struggle Angie has endured from her children, she has finally graduated as a well-rounded humanitarian and global superstar, at the top of the class. [source]
