I know Hayden Panettiere is up for the female lead of Footloose, alongwith country and Dancing With The Stars hottie Julianne Hough, but if Miley Cyrus wants to keep the country-mainstream market firmly in hand, she’ll climb effortlessly into the female lead’s shoes in Footloose beside Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford.

Surely, after her hoe down/ throw down musical number in Hannah Montana: The Movie, Miss Miley will be ready to don a cow girl hat with Chace in cowboy boots and really drive Footloose home into this century and beyond.

It’s ironic that original Footloose lad, Kevin Bacon was a contemporary of her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, so Miley would be a perfect connecting character between the old Footloose fans and the new generation of Footloose fans. She’s a triple threat, but having a movie that enhances Miley’s dancing techniques wouldn’t hurt. Time well spent for Miley’s future and career. lol! :)

That’s smart casting! Tish Cyrus could film produce Footloose with Kenny Ortega.
