Yes, she had success, but she too was once beaten by a celebrity boyfriend. It came as a shock to learn that William Hurt, Marlee Martin’s once boyfriend of 2 years, used to beat her into submission. In fact, Martin reveals that when she won her Oscar Award for Children of a Lesser God, that she accepted the award with bruises all over her body from Hurt. So sad, that William Hurt would live up to his name literally and hurt his woman. It’s also strange how men like Chris Brown and William Hurt, both talented, both with successful careers, have a screwed up image as to what masculinity is when dating successful women.
