perezhiltonsolangeDear Perez,

So much has to be said about your achievements. I think on your 31st Birthday something needs to be said about your prowess as a blogger from other bloggers. In bloggersphere, people always want to take the big guy down, so few want to acknowledge pioneers and leaders. So, I am taking some time to write about your achievements and also what I’d like to see more from you.

Congratulations on your achievements and courage you have shown, to just leap into any task at hand. These namely being: diligent blogging, irreverent fun that is both naughty as well as ‘the other side of truth’ that so very few mainstream news outlets want to say.

Also your achievements as a film actor, a TV personality, a journalist, an entertainment correspondent, an activist, a perceiver or new world trends in entertainment, a commitment to excellence in entertainment, an ability to raise the bar in entertainment and a connection to the masses, as well as being a published author, are all things that at 31 years-of-age, no one can hold a candle to you.

Today, I celebrate you and your achievements for what you have achieved. You are one of the most hardworking men in entertainment. God bless you.

When I first discovered your blog, it was hard for me to take you seriously, because it appeared that you were a timid blogger, who was hiding inside Paris Hilton’s glass slipper having stolen/ borrowed her branding in her name, and using it as your Hollywood armor. It was hard to respect someone, who continually threw stones, from within someone else’s glass-house slipper.

Today Perez, you have superseded Paris Hilton, in terms of being a voice of credibility in the world, and I applaud your coming of age.

Most of all, I appreciate the fact that at times, you take on world politics and American politics and blog content, even when you know that these issues don’t necessarily rate as highly on bloggersphere, but out of duty to your country, you take the time to include and cover political stories within your blog. Thank you.

Finally, what you have done for the struggling music industry, and new artists is singlehandedly the most that any other individual has gifted the world of entertainment with your ability to sense up and comers who really have a gift of music to entertain and uplift the human spirit. Namely, people that spring to mind are: Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Adele … all young ladies, you gave a spotlight to months before others noticed. You cut the curve of their career path, to get there quicker, and women in music in particular owe you a great debt for this, and their audiences (like myself) do too. Thank you.

Kanye West perhaps recognized your potential in the music industry, long before anyone else did, by publically acknowledging your gifts to music’s marketing and promotion. For this Kanye got castigated for being a closeted fag, and other such rumors. Thankfully, Kanye did not care, and gave credit where credit is due. That is a real man, in any country.

Likewise, I applaud you Perez Hilton, in your youth that flows with a blend of both discerning wisdom and equal parts of fun, seemingly immature and childish magic, which entertains millions every day on your blog. Keep it coming!

Currently your critics say this: that your blog feels like you don’t do it anymore, that other people load into your blog news stories and that you hurriedly upload their work at the last minute on Perez Hilton.Com, because your focus is on all of your other projects. Do not forget the basis of your blog, and perhaps give it the attention you once did, which really is the magic of your success.

Your critics also say, that you do not credit others enough (ie: you hide your sources, and ‘borrow’ from them heavily) and perhaps err on making yourself look more brilliant than you are, through not sharing enough. This makes you a greedy piggy in their eyes, and they disrespect having their talent chomped up by you, without recognition. Hopefully, at 31, you can now share your new maturity, by being a bit more diligent in reflecting who else feeds into you success.

As President Barack Obama noted, no matter who we all are, we are all interdependent on others, and cannot do things on our own. The word from the President of this great country, should also be the spirit of our word, where sharing and acknowledging our interdependence now needs to come more into play, in order to truly be sustainable and restore integrity. Hopefully on your blog Perez, you will reflect more a spirit of this interdependence on the many other bloggers, websites, photographers, reporters, TV makers, video journalists etc, whose pics you use, without acknowledging their names. Just because you stamp your perez hilton logo, or scribble over another news sources picture, or video footage or news coverage, does not make it your own.

Finally, people like Madonna, have had their day. To still support her at the level that you do, is perhaps for the first time, to see you becoming irrelevant. Madonna’s greed and hoggish love of the spotlight, is not a spirit that best reflects or can be sustained in America to take the world forward. You are better off sticking with Lady Gaga and let Madonna, try and transition into whatever it is, she is meant to be doing now in the world. We all need to adjust, she does too, and your continued support of her in unwarranted measure for what she now deserves, dates your website very significantly.

Perhaps this is why Time Magazine listed you as being ‘a bit overrated and stale.’ I believe your voice is important. Keep shining, back make the changes needed to stay on top of your game. Namely, a spirit of humility and supporting other talented entertainers like yourself, who also carry an inclusive spirit of humility too.

Happy happy Birthday Perez Hilton. May you go from strength to strength by making the slight adjustments that are needed by all bloggers and entertainers, as we all move forward with a spirit of fun (that heals and refreshes) as well as humility (which is the sunglasses we need, to see the tinted light of new truth).
